Capítulo 156: Familiar Face

The door opened slowly, so as not to make a sound. Alena knew that Dedren likely had a large hangover or headache right now, and was exceptionally volatile. Even the slightest of errors could ruin her chances at dragging him out of whatever emotional pit he was in.

Alena was quite a comely young girl, having only recently turned nineteen. Like Dedren, she was an Ondethalian, with long, curly brown hair tied back in a bun and the modest, dirtied attire of a servant.

However, her outfit did little to distract from her pretty face, a perfect blend of youth and maturity amplified by the intelligent glimmer in her eyes. She held a certain level of beauty as modest as her clothing, someone that wouldn't stand out in a crowd, but would make any man happy to wed.

It was almost hard to believe she had once been a street urchin.
