The entourage boarded the cog ship early the next morning. Holding Anna's hand, Kyren walked on the wharf structure towards the vessel waiting for them. The princess had donned a hooded robe to shield herself from the chilly breeze.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" the commander asked her for the last time before boarding, staring with a mixed expression, worrying that the journey would be too much for her.

"Yes, I am. I trust you will be with me till the end," she replied, eyes shining with determination.
