Hunter Cha Hae-In.
The Vice guild master of the top-ranking Korean guild and also one of the strongest S-ranked hunters in the Asian continent.
From a normal perspective, she's just a beautiful young woman with short blond hair who could gain hundreds of thousands of likes and comments if she posts regularly on social media. However, her genuine interest doesn't lie in gaining such superficial satisfaction.
Her real work requires her sword in hand and when she does wield a weapon she feels truly herself.
Naturally, Cha Hae-In has the experience of a variety of scenarios before, where the fight grew extremely difficult or sometimes it only required an hour or two to clear it out. However, it was the first time she was witnessing something like this.
Her eyes were slightly widened, her small mouth agape and her attention focused only on two individuals currently fighting...no, massacring the hordes of high orcs.
It was shocking to see that the dungeon which was originally assigned to the secondary team of the Hunters Giild turned out to be on the higher scale of A-rank which definitely would have taken Choi Jong-In and Hae-In's participation to clear it out. And even if these two mentioned S-rankers have involved themselves along with the team, it would have taken more than a week to clear this out.
However, not for these two.
'So that Sung Jin-Woo really is a fake ranker...but what about the other one?'
Hae-In had her suspicion about Jin-Woo since the previous incident when she caught him near an A-rank boss with a dagger in his hand even though he was working as a miner there. His scent was absolutely distinctive and alluring as well.
She has never come across such a sweet fragrance emitting from a hunter.
But Hae-In had no information about the other guy who had a wide grin on his face while he fought. And the most strange part, his glasses weren't coming off even though he was moving at such terrifying speed. Even Hae-In had a hard time keeping a record of the boy even though she took some amount of pride in her perception and agility.
Jin-Woo in comparison was more like a silent killer who was bestowing death upon his opponents before they could even realize when their demise arrived and departed.
Different fighting style yet there was something Hae-In got assured of.
'They are definitely stronger than an S-rank... '
"V-Vice-master?"
"Ms. Cha Hae-In is here!"
"Are you alright? What happened here?" Approaching the healer who was in the process of healing her comrade, Hae-In asked.
The healer looked troubled as she vaguely responded, "We are not sure..."
"Hey, wait...Are those summons?!"
Hae-In's gaze traveled to the battlefield where she saw those orcs who previously died were now being reborn in the form of the undead with raven and red shade spread across their body, distinguishing them from their original self.
But the issue of this summoning remained in the fact that the number of the undead easily crossed fifty at once.
"T-Those many? I can barely summon two creatures..."
Someone muttered from the team but Hae-In didn't pay mind to it. She was sure that it was Jin-Woo who created the undead making her even more astound at the range of his powers.
Soon every orc was slowly getting slain by the two and the number of summons was increasing along with it.
"What in the world is happening...."
Cha Hae-In turned her gaze to see the unfamiliar source of voice only to realize that it was the head of the Monitoring Unit, Chief Jinchul.
"I am not sure either."
"Ah, Hunter Cha."
Jinchul was surprised but he soon regained his composure and squinted his gaze on the battlefield.
"Are those summons...wait, Hunter Sung Jin-Woo? And is that Mr. Nanase?"
"Hey, Chief."
Everyone in the group including Cha Hae-In suddenly got startled upon witnessing the same man who was standing in between the corpse of orcs now standing some meters away from them.
'That speed...no, did he teleport?' Hae-In had no clue nor was she able to trace his mana essence when he neared them. And the most shocking factor...
'He has no smell at all... ' Hae-In was no longer able to comprehend what was the deal with this guy but soon her attention was diverted when a very temptingly sweet smell assaulted her senses.
Turning her head she found Jin-Woo approaching the group with the whole place devoid of any monster other than the boss who was ominously silent until now.
"Mr. Nanase, I know you have been a great help to the team but you should have been aware of the law which prohibits a nonlicensed hunter from entering a dungeon." Jinchul stabilized his bearings and asked the very first thing that rang in his mind upon seeing the young man here.
Cha Hae-In raised her brows upon hearing that the younger one wasn't even evaluated. Then again, if he would have been a licensed hunter, Cha Hae-In would have been aware of him by now.
"I am just trying to save some people. If this can put me in jail, then that would be fine."
As he said, the boy pointed his index finger at the injured mage from the beta team and with a flash restored the man back to his health.
"Eh....?"
"HEHHH?"
"He can use healing magic as well...?"
"Impossible...dual awakened...?"
"In the first place, he didn't show any other skill then isn't it possible that despite being a healer he could possess such combat skill?"
"Sounds possible but..."
The conversation among the team was all justifiable since the skillset the glass-wearing youth has shown was anything but believable. He could walk in a dungeon without letting the association unit know his presence, can fight with A-rank monsters with pretty ease and even if she wants to deny it, Hae-In knows that the boy can teleport as well. And now...this healing aspect.
It really was a weird day.
On the other hand, Chief Jinchul was pushed to a corner where punishing the boy seemed evil however being a responsible officer of the Association, he couldn't let it slide as well.
"You won't have to get through legal proceedings but a fine and an official warning would be issued under your name."
Haru grinned at that wordlessly as he finished patching up the team members.
[Don't you look down on me, Humans!!]
Suddenly a roaring voice of the orc lord erupted across the court making every eye drawn to it.
The huge monstrosity got up from its throne ready to stomp on the humans who have dared belittling the great Kargalgan.
However, before it could step its feet on the ground, the orc lord found itself levitating...more like it was floating, unable to control its own limbs.
"Sunbae...I have been nullifying its curses until now. If you want I can obliterate it from existence but if you don't..."
"Let me handle that," Jin-Woo replied after pushing away his surprise seeing how Haru was easily able to lift that thing.
The crowd behind these two has hushed down entirely, not being able to comprehend where such mind-numbing powers are originating from.
However, none of that mattered to these two as Jin-Woo summoned his dagger in his hand, and his shadow general by his side before he launched forward to slay the boss and claim another good addition to his army.
Haru released his manipulation which made the orc fall to the ground before with a sigh he pulled out his phone.
'Still no message huh... '
His heart felt heavy as he gazed at the chat log he shares with Jinah. The reason for his depression stems from the last message she sent after their argument yesterday.
Jinah: [If you can't change your decision, then don't call me again.]

A/N: - The separation arc?
Since I am taking the romance seriously this was bound to happen at some instance in the story.
For a moment, I thought about pairing Jin-Woo with Lee Joohee but Cha Hae-In is also one of my favorites so I didn't NTR her.
The plot would diverge from here slightly.
Drop a comment if you liked the chapter.
And also, the very moment I see three hundred power Stones, I would drop another chapter. If the meters fill by today then you may find another chapter tomorrow.
