Capítulo 104: Chapter 104: Do Orcs Have the Word 'Brave' on Their Chests?

The unknown demonic energy had a slight fluctuation, with slight variations in the peaks and valleys that were impossible for humans to grasp.

And it was in Eredar, also known as the demonic language.

This could easily stump 99.99% of mages, but not Duke. Because Duke had a system spirit. This spirit had a set of questions and answers that never changed and repeated every five minutes. Although the fluctuations were extremely complex, they were always the same.

When the system spirit repeatedly assured Duke that it could perfectly imitate the language, Duke smiled at Lothar.

"I have a little trick that only mages can do, which can fool Medivh for a while. I think no matter how many of his subordinates we kill, he won't notice until we get close enough to him."

Lothar's eyes lit up when he heard this.

If he could get close to Medivh, maybe there was a chance. What was he most afraid of? Being drowned in endless demonic energy before seeing Medivh.

He and his people were strong.

But they were still human. All humans could be deceived and make mistakes. The longer the battle dragged on, the more disadvantageous it was for them.

Duke's appearance directly changed this.

"Alright, follow me," Duke beckoned.

"No, we'll go together." Lothar held a shield in his left hand and a sword in his right.

Duke suddenly noticed that Lothar's sword seemed fundamentally different from the one he usually held.

"What is that?"

"A family heirloom that should come in handy," Lothar said casually.

Duke opened his mouth wide, and if he wasn't able to control himself, he would probably scream in surprise.

"Who are Lothar's ancestors? The former founding ruler of the Seven Kingdoms - Emperor Thoradin!"

"The ancestral sword? Isn't that the sword of the kings?"

As if he could see through Duke's surprise, Lothar said lightly, "It's not as mystical as you think. Using this sword in public would certainly stimulate the nobles of Stormwind Kingdom."

Duke didn't dare to ask any further, as doing so would be delving into Lothar's dark past. In fact, Duke himself couldn't understand why the bloodline of Emperor Thoradin would come to work for the House of Wrynn.

Duke led Lothar and his party into Karazhan.

Almost the moment he stepped through the back door, Duke felt that something was off. It was a feeling of complete confusion, as if time and space were in chaos.

In every sense, this was inevitable.

In ancient times, a mysterious explosion occurred in the southern part of the Redridge Mountains, forming a circular mountain range, which is now known as the Twisting Nether. The center of the mountain range was a temporal and spatial void that became a nexus for many worlds and the Twisting Nether.

Countless years later, the cosmologist Medivh was drawn to this place by its unique temporal and spatial properties. He built a tower in the center of the nexus and settled there, which became known as the tower of Karazhan. King Llane of the Stormwind Kingdom granted ownership of the tower to Medivh and bestowed upon him the title of "Master of Karazhan".

After merging with the power of the Guardians of Azeroth, the tower of Karazhan gradually fused with the temporal and spatial nexus, becoming an integral part of this unique space-time. This folded, twisted space-time is also the cause of the illusions in Karazhan. The phantasms in Karazhan are not mere illusions or ghosts, but real fragments of the past and future, caught in the maelstrom of distorted time and appearing in places where they shouldn't be.

So, there are many unreasonable things inside Karazhan.

For example, right now, everything we see are books. Various kinds of books, not just magic books, but also a large number of books on humanities, geography, and history.

But these are all visual illusions.

"Listen up, follow me and step on the math books."

"Math books?" Lothar was puzzled.

"If you don't want to fly to other planets in the next instant, then follow me." Duke jumped and skipped on the scattered "books" on the ground.

If it weren't for the scanning of the system spirit, he would have thought these were just ordinary books. Only after the system scan did he suddenly realize that most of the ground here is illusory. If you take a wrong step, you might be lucky enough to return to Azeroth. If you're unlucky, the mangled body of some unknown race over there is your fate, with half of your body cut off in a round shape.

A group of guys followed Duke, jumping left and right, and it took several minutes before they left this area.

Although it was a bit ridiculous to see a group of big men in armor carrying long swords jumping around, the situation was really serious, and they couldn't laugh at all. The only consolation was that apparently no one who entered had been left behind.

Then, when Duke led the way through an illusion of a bookshelf, his face changed slightly.

He saw a downward slope. Below the slope, there was a faint smell of sulfur.

"What? Do you think of something?"

"That satyr is good at summoning imps, uh, satyrs of the Burning Legion." Duke almost blurted out, wanting to explode the name of Terestian Illhoof.

As a very powerful earth mage, Duke knew where his limits were, even though his casting ability had surpassed that of a sky mage for many days. But fundamentally, he was still an earth mage.

He didn't know how many levels he had surpassed since the original game. All he knew was that Karazhan wasn't a good place for newbies to fool around in.

In a sense, he had come to Karazhan without knowing how many levels he had jumped.

If it were just a pre-time travel player messing around like this, it would be a big deal. However, when players come here, there are only players themselves, but Duke brought three heroes and over two hundred elite soldiers to 'clear the game'. This feeling made Duke feel very uncomfortable.

If the opponent this time wasn't Medivh, it would be a typical case of sucking up to someone, and still, it was the perfect golden thigh of Lothar.

"Is there anything to pay attention to?" Lothar asked softly.

"Well, it's best not to turn it into a prolonged battle. Because with enough time, this summoning type of satyr can easily create an army."

"Okay, I'll go first!" The one who spoke was not Lothar, but Garona!

In that instant, Duke was almost scared out of his heart. Because he saw that Garona, a half-orc whose all thought patterns were linear in her brain, actually rushed straight into the secret room where the demonic hooves were located like lightning.

"Follow me!" Not only Duke, but Lothar was also dumbfounded. He had long known that most orcs had the word 'brave' carved on their chest, but he never thought that even Garona, who was so humanized and feminine, would be so fierce.

He almost ran and followed Garona into the room full of dim red light and even had a complex crimson magic circle on the floor.
