"It must have taken my wife a lot of work to persuade Li Ming to let us charge our power bank with the generator he so painstakingly secured. I appreciate her efforts."

Peng Zhi, looking at his fully charged power bank and his nearly dead cell phone, hurriedly plugged in the data cable. He then looked at his wife sleeping next to him and whispered to himself.

Peng Zhi sighed inwardly and turned to continue using his cellphone.

Times have changed. In this post-apocalyptic world, where he didn't have to go to work every day, the quiet nights gave him a creepy feeling. He'd prefer to stay up until dawn, then sleep late rather than going to bed early.

He thought that his wife was also the same. But ever since they ran out of food at home, everything changed, she would sleep early even if she was afraid of what was outside.

"Thankfully, we were able to borrow food from Li Ming."

Peng Zhi thought to himself as he got more absorbed in the mobile game.
