I shut my eyes while feeling the shadows wrapped around me begin to unravel. 

'Vargr!" I cursed. 

Yes, I may not have been in its blast zone, but the effects of that magic circle managed to break the blessing a goddess bestowed on me. Meaning it was seriously strong stuff. 

Seconds ticked by while I waited for the light to subside, but when it did, I heard a noise that caused me to frown—it was the bleating of sheep. 

I opened my eyes, and my jaw dropped. 

"Holy—"
