Max said calmly. 

"Yes, I'm sorry for loosing control of my emotions. Where was I, right....."

Serena took a deep breath as she remembered where she left the story and continued after a few seconds. 

"After having dinner together, usually both of us head to the bedroom on the second floor and after watching television for some time, we usually sleep by 12 o' clock.

But since the exhibition of the mummy was approaching soon, Shane was very excited for it and said that he was going to work till late to quicken up the restoration work of the mummy.

After all, since Ricky was fired from his job and Shane had yet to find another experienced assistant, the restoration work of the mummy was actually lagging behind the schedule by a few days. I also didn't find it strange so I headed up to the stairs to the second floor alone while Shane entered his personal lab on the first floor where he was keeping the mummy.
