Capítulo 9: Cat Got Your Tail?
I don't think it's ever going to stop being boring waiting all day with no customers for 'The Bone Knifes' to come back. There is nothing to do and not even my skill can help. The main reason being that because even if it can make anything I want I am not very imaginative. I just can't think of what it could make that would keep me from being bored.
Their are quite a few reasons why I have no other customers. One is that only recently has this tavern been fixed up and no longer abandoned. Another reason is it isn't in the best neighborhood and by that I mean in a dark and creepy alleyway.
I also don't have a name for my tavern which will become a problem if I don't take care of it now. Let's see, everyone loves all my food and would have long eaten me poor if not for my cheat skill so how about 'Kuishinbō Tavern'.
I think it's a perfect fit so I carved it on a sign and put it at the front of the tavern, perfect.
Still, i don't think that's enough, maybe I should personally advertise my store? I don't think it's a good idea to walk up to strangers and beg them to come to my store but I'm desperate at the moment.
After having a long mental conversation with myself on why this is a good idea I walked to the door with determination and a goal in mind. I then flung the door open and looked down the alleyway.
I could see plenty of people walking in the streets back and forth for whatever reasons they have. I could also see stores and stalls like a fruit stand and a weapons shop. I just hope I don't have to compete with a lot of other Taverns in the area as I don't think I could take the stress.
I'm really in a world filled with swords and magic huh. I'm lucky as I have nothing important in my old world. Well I can't let these thoughts stop me now can I? So let's go and get some customers!
Just as I started walking to the streets to start my mission I felt something yank on my tail. I was confused as I didn't see anyone around but when I looked down at my tail I finally saw it.
It was a cat, it was playing with my tail like it was a cat toy which was really funny to watch. So much so that for the first time in this new world I moved my tail to watch it play more. It felt weird moving it , like I had an arm on my lower back. As long as I gone a reaction from the cat it was fine. When my tail moved quickly to the side the cat jumped and pounced on it and it stopped moving
The cat looked like a normal cat except for one small difference, it's fur was entirely blue even it's eyes were blue. It looked really beautiful with the sunlight hitting the fur making it almost shimmer. I looked at it a little more until it started playing biting that was when I picked it up. It's fur, just like I thought, was really soft.
That's when I remembered I'm also still a cat so I rubbed my hand up and down my arm to test it. Turns out it's also really soft, maybe even softer. That would probably explain why this cat is purring even though I only picked it up, I haven't even started petting it yet. When I petted the cat it was very soothing I can see why people liked to have pets as I never had pets in my old life.
I then took it back inside to examine it as I don't know of a blue cat. When we were inside I used my cheat skill to look at its description.

I didn't expect for such a blue cat to be this normal. I at least thought it would have some affinity for water but it doesn't. I then gave it some food and water as he must want some after being in the streets.
I sat down behind the counter and watched her eat. She devoured the cat food and gulped down the water. When it was finished she came up to me and sat in my lap. I then started petting her and she payed down and fell asleep.
I think I'll keep her for a little while.
