Capítulo 217: In Danger [Abominations]

Angel lay on the roof of a fifteen-story building, her rifle well set and her finger never leaving the trigger. All shots were accompanied by trails of flames lighting up the dark. The loud explosions in the distance told her of how intense the battle was. They had already had twenty casualties, but compared to the number on the enemy's side; it was nothing.

She could hear the voices of her comrades from the tiny comm in her ear and from their yells, she could imagine the intense resistance they were facing.

From her spot, she could get a wider view and the sight before her depicted the image of a battlefield. Burning vehicles and houses filled the place, and the sound of different caliber guns filled the air.

Adjusting her scope, Angel saw a silhouette flash past her scope. The speed of that silhouette shocked her, causing her to scan the surroundings, but the silhouette just vanished. Her ruby eyes contracted, and she pressed her lips together.
