Capítulo 206: _ Something is amiss

Afina wondered what was so particular about her absence during the ritual that made the High Pristess's face turn sour. She went ahead to reply anyway.

"I had to be home to tend to my sick father while my mother works." She supplied, wondering just how many times she would have to relay this and to how many divine persons.

The High Priestess, for reasons best known to her was silent. Afina felt weird looking into her eyes but she had no idea where else to fix her gaze upon.

"Who are your parents?" The High Priestess finally decided to speak, leaving Afina grateful.

"Mama Xylia and Father Atticus." Afina had just blurted before realizing that the High Priestess would have probably never heard those names her whole life before.

True to her thoughts, "Who are those?" High Priestess Anya questioned.

"My mother and father, High Prietess Anya." Afina replied.

If the High Priestess knew she wouldn't know them, why ask her then?
