Capítulo 17: Proposition
On the other side of the door leading to Hikaru's abode lies three figures with each one having a separate quark. A rich young lady, a socially inept beauty, and lastly the oldest among these groups of people who are backed by gigantic brutes? Flower-like beauty and yet possessed with all sorts of troubles for anyone who'd cherish a long life would avoid
Karin panicked with just her glare and she hid in Sana's back and stuttered. "W-Who exactly a-are y-you?"
'What should I say? She's not a bad person but Im quite curious why she knows Hikaru of all people. Perhaps, did he left school in search of her guidance~ Hold on, I'm just assuming at this point. She doesn't look like she's good at martial arts, but... Her way of fighting is too brutal. Still, let's ask her. There's no way I'll mess this up,'
Sana on the other hand was calm, yet her poor communication skills would undoubtedly worsen their mood. "Are ya guys debt collectors? Just wait a little while once Higaki arrives. You'll get your money soon enough,"
'Ahhhhh!!! Why did I say that? It's clearly obvious they aren't! They knew Hikaru before and even visited him... This is so awkward, just kill me! I can't believe I said something so stupid,'
Yura's men were pissed and before they could speak their minds, they heard her chuckle like never before. "Ahahahahahahaha! So you guys are his friend aye? Sorry about that, we had some business so we didn't have time to change. I'm Yura Katsumi, nice to know that Hikaru has some friends,"
This encounter of theirs was out of the norm and their only encounter was yet to appear when she fully turned into a boss. But at present, Yura was nothing but an easygoing person with no hint of unquelled rage and only her chill and relaxed persona. She wasn't murderous nor her hands were stained with blood, right now she was just an unfortunate lady leading her crew
'The little one was circled by dozens of guards a while back and the blondie over there was one hell of a fighter. I'm not one to judge, but I guess they're from the prestigious Morrisoge High... I heard he's a scholar, but who would've thought he'd be that smart? What a wonderful life he's been living,'
"Let's go, boys! Oh right! Would you mind telling Hikaru to not slack off on his studies? That brat might already be doing it, but I wanted to cheer him on," Yura fled along with her subordinates with a smile on her face knowing full well of the choice she made
Luke one of Yura's trusted men asked her the question the others decided to discard upon her choice. "Boss, why didn't you talk to him? I thought you'd be more than welcome to bring him along. You saw it too right? He survived that fall and even ran back up~"
Though it's been so long since Yura had shown her fierce and downright intimidating expression. It was certain that the sleeping lioness of Sanya was widely awake when he uttered those words. For a moment she became the epitome of fright with eyes piercing through one cold exterior
"I-I apologize!!! Please forgive me. I was just thinking about the well-being of Sanya. I'm truly sorry, boss,"
Her demeanor slowly changed and her hand reached his shoulders whilst equipped with a smile on her cheek. "It's fine... We can't let outsiders meddle in our troubles. The kid's life is already planned out. We shouldn't drag him down, instead, cheer for him,"
This band of powerhouse left as soon as they arrived. It seems that something stands as their wall and yet she refuses to ask for Hikaru's help. The starter boss, Yura Katsumi withdrew her stay in the light of Tokyo and back to where she belongs

An hour later it wasn't a surprise these two would've quarreled with the disappearance of Hikaru's enigmatic visitor. "Hashimoto... You've done it this time! I would've beaten you up here and now. But that wouldn't change a thing. He might be poor, but he is not an idiot. I wonder why he risked his life saving someone like you,"
"Sana wait... I didn't do anything wrong please talk to me. I'll fix this I promise, I'll compensate for his loss. Please Sana just talk to me~" Karin reached for Sana's hand, and in turn, she responded by slapping it away
Karin was stunned when she witnessed her glare mixed with pure unbridled hatred pointed at her existence. "Don't touch me! Do you think everything will be solved with money...? Tch. I never once judged anyone's worth by their place of birth, not even Higaki of all people. But you...? I don't want to see you ever again,"
Without a doubt in her eye, Karin was certain of the hatred Sana exhibited as she fled the scene. Her legs had no ounce of strength and in that spit close to Hikaru's room she cried for the longest time of her life. None would compare to the pain she felt and the person, she cared for the most would be the one to shatter her fantasy

'Sheesh! Now that was hella dramatic as fuck, give those two an Oscar for that spectacular performance. That's hella traumatizing, I'd even bet she'll become insecure about herself from now on. From the other routes I played, Karin was still simping, but here... Yeah she got rejected,'
(Her special attribute is still present, but the one she admires made it clear of their relationship. It's not a huge win compared with terminating that attribute, but this saves you plenty of time to breathe. She's now heartbroken, to say the least)
After a while, Hikaru was visited by a figure he never imagined interacting with in his playthrough. "Good evening, Hikaru Aoi. I assume that you've heard of me? I'm Lou Qing the head butler. I was tasked with sending your pay since the young master has ordered your leave,"
The head butler Lou Qing appeared with a smile on his face along with the card with Hikaru's pay. He accepted willingly and he waited till he left and yet he faced such silence when Lou proceeded to remain. He already knew this beforehand, but the utter silence and lack of words made him tick and his attitude later became sour
"Do you have anything to say? I think the head butler has a pair of eyes so I would like some peace. I thought you were only tasked to send my paycheck and fuck off. If you don't speak your mind then I'll ignore you~"
"I want to hire you on my own accord," Lou Qing finally spoke his mind once his certain not a single soul would hear his proposal
Hikaru went with the flow and acted arrogant as such. "Huh? Can't you see I barely survived? Now you want to hire me...? Tell me your reasons and I might reconsider your offer,"
Qing was deeply suspicious about his origins, but he wasn't a man who would miss a chance to gain a powerful ally. "To tell you the truth, I've assumed you'd be an escapee of the organization. But now it's unlikely to be false, your late parents must have been hunted down and protected you with their lives,"
He goes on to tell the lore of the game to Hikaru who'd heard of this dozens of times on his past playthrough
(A world full of fantasy-like elements and one of these key genres were superpowers. I never thought this romance-themed game would possess so many tropes of all shapes and sizes. Well, a human created this so I expected a creative mind but this is too much!!!)
"I'm an escaped experimental subject. The organization that turned me into a freak is still alive. I vowed to destroy them, but I couldn't do so as I pledged my life as the butler of the Hashimoto group. I'll pay any sum, I want you to guard the lady for my time with her isn't everlasting," He set aside his outrageous behavior, and wholeheartedly asked for Hikaru's involvement

12 hours later
(The recovery band-aid sure does its wonders! I can't believe you're fully healed without a scratch. But Hikaru, why aren't you going to school?)
Hikaru was on his way back to his apartment after he'd bought some popsicles with the money he gained. "Bruh, I just fell from the 2nd floor, was shot multiple times, and nearly died by losing tons of my blood. We can brainwash them with your help to think that everything is normal, but I rather not. I rather do the time plus in this world, medicine can heal me after 4 whole days have passed,"
(Oh right, I forgot about that. We'd just have to wait for that time and everything is settled. I can't rack my mind in the norms of this alternate world. But at least you understand it)
After his morning jog took him back to his apartment complex and faced the entrance of his room, he was reminded of his task. The agreement of becoming Karin's undercover guard whilst having the connection of the Hashimoto group in his grasp. He sighed and entered his room but was later surprised when he was flashed with such an appearance
"Kyaaaah!!!" Karin screamed and Hikaru was stunned to have a glimpse of her underwear right off the bat
She remains still and unmoved and only declares the reason for her arrival. "D-Dont m-misunderstand my presence. I'm here with Lou Qing's guidance. From now on, I'll be staying near your apartment to adapt to the world of plebs,"
"That doesn't justify why you're inside my room~"
"My shower broke down!!! I have no reason to be in your care! I hate you. You... You... Jackass!!!"
