Riveria glanced around to see us, and her jaw dropped slightly to see us both walking up to her casually. Probably me more because I was walking with a food basket in hand.
"Ais? And Sir Garth?" she said with an astonished look.
"Hey Riveria. What's up?" I said waving to her.
"I'm just helping to fuel the barrier with Mind. What exactly are you doing here?"
"Garth came to help out with the barrier. I just came to watch." Ais said.
Riveria frowned at that.
"Well it's better then that you don't stay here to watch and you return to the others. If only Garth is here to help with the barrier, then you had better go back where your chances of survival will increase."
"It's fine. She can stay here if she wants." I said to her and nodded towards Ais.
Riveria shook her head in disapproval as she glared at me.
"I have heard the news of your newfound status Garth. While I don't believe it, there is no doubt you are strong. But not even that strength will guarantee her safety."
"You heard correct Riveria but you don't know correct. That meteor will not be hitting the ground at all today."
Riveria raised an eyebrow at me.
"What? Do you have enough mind to make this barrier so hard that the meteor shatter s against it or something. Because our friends calculated the trajectory of that thing and it won't be hitting the barrier. What we really need is power to weather the devastation that will occur as a result."
I shook my head.
"It is true that I had Ais bring me to you so I could help with the barrier efforts. But I did not do so just so I could help you lot specifically on YOUR barrier."
Riveria huffed.
"Then why did you come here?! Any minute now that rock is going to flatten Orario, and now you say you're not going to help us even though you claim to want to help with barrier efforts! You do realise its OUR barrier right?"
"I just said that. And in answer to your question, I sought you out so you could hold this..." I shoved the basket into her hands and she wobbled for a bit trying to keep one hand on her staff and the other under the basket. "...and I will make my own barrier."
Riveria and Ais showed expressions of surprise. While the surprise was more genuine on Ais's part, Riveria's was mixed with disbelief and anger.
"Are you even listening to yourself? Do you really think that you alone can create a barrier big and strong enough to cover this entire are?"
"I do."
"How?"
"Because I'm going to use a spell that will cover ALL of Orario and protect it."
"...What?"
I smiled.
"There was one thing you didn't consider did you? You gathered everybody here in the coliseum, but forget about the city itself. You do realize that the destruction you're implying is going to destroy Babel tower and unleash the hellspawn of the dungeon back on to the surface once more?"
Ais nodded and replied in Riveria's face.
"We did realize that. But we don't have enough manpower to create a barrier around the entire city. Even if we did, there's no guarantee that the meteor wouldn't smash right through it and hit the city anyway."
"Not to mention such a larger barrier with fewer mages powering it would definitely be weaker than the one we are casting now. There would be no way to stop it. At least doing this over here will be out of its path when it impacts."
I rubbed my hands together and gave a slightly evil smirk.
"Then let me show you REAL magic." I said loudly. Some of the other mages powering the barrier heard me and looked around to see what I was doing.
I saw some elves frown at me like they were going to snap at me for talking like that to their idol when I was just a 'human' and all that crap. I noticed Lefiya was among them.
But before they could say anything, I raised my hands in the air and focused. Super Tier magic was more like a skill, so in order to use it, I had to treat it like one. I focused on myself and imagined it appearing like it did in the Overlord anime.
A few seconds passed as Riveria gave me an unimpressed stare which I could feel drilling into the back of my head.
Then I was suddenly engulfed in a great blue wisps of light. Giant magic circles appeared over my head in different sizes, with smaller circles orbiting around them like small planets. The area of the circles grew to encircle me, Riveria and Ais, although I was still at the centre most part.
Around me was a high pitched humming noise that sounded with the circles floating around me. That combined with the giant pillar of light that suddenly appeared and speared the sky above us caused all of Orario's gathered masses to fall silent in awe at what they were seeing.
Even from here, I heard the voices of the thousands of people gathered in that tight arena, screaming and shouting in worry. I'd caught sight of some looking at the sky and fainting.
But the moment I activated the Super-Tier magic, all fell silent and my senses suddenly felt thousands of eyes on me. I felt a little weirded out to feel something like that on me. I guessed it was the enhanced senses of mine that came as a result of my level.
And then I felt even heavier gazes upon me. The weight of those reminded me of the time Freya first saw me. So that meant others like her were now watching me.
Was this a good idea? Or a bad idea?
Guess I'd find out later. For now I needed to concentrate on this barrier. I didn't actually know any Super Tier magic that created barriers. But I knew that in the New World, people were able to create their own magic spells with Tier Magic.
I'm a player, so what's to say I can't do the same, even with higher tier magic like this? I knew I was taking a gamble at this point and would probably embarrass myself if this didn't work.
I guess the upside of that was if I did make an idiot out of myself, then the ones to witness it wouldn't be around much longer to speak of it. I closed my eyes and concentrated on forming the spell in my mind.

(General POV)
"What kind of magic is that?" Asfi screamed. "I can't even comprehend it's power, let alone try to understand it!"
"It certainly is different." Finn said as the throbbing in his thumb intensified yet again. "Riveria is going to blow a fuse when this is all over."
"To think he was hiding something like this." Tione breathed. "It makes sense why he called that spell he used to kill the infant dragon a weak spell. Whatever he's about to cast is hundreds of times stronger than it easily."
"Damn, did the Freya Familia luck out on this one." Muttered the guy in the Ganesha Familia whose name was continuously forgotten (like seriously, what is his name?)
"Its incredible!" Tiona gasped as her eyes followed the swirling circles that were moving and changing at kaleidoscope speed. "Just look how high it goes. He just becomes more and more amazing every day!"
Her eyes followed the beam of pure magic up its great length, penetrating the skies above. It looked as if it were emitting light but also sucking it out of the surroundings as well.
"He certainly does." Hermes muttered as he glanced sideways at Freya who came to stand beside him. "Mind explaining this one Freya. Don't pretend that you don't sense it."
"I can admit that I sense it Hermes. But what I can say truthfully is that I had no idea he could do something like this. I certainly played no part in it." Freya murmured.
"Yeah, it doesn't feel like yours. Impossible as it is, it actually feels native to him." Hermes narrowed his eyes as he looked back down to the scene below. "Ouranos is definitely going to have a lot of fun at the next Denatus."
What were they talking about?
Garth didn't know it at the time because he couldn't sense it as he did not possess the correct senses. But if he had, he would have realised that his super tier spell was full of something that put every Patron god in Orario on alert. Something they believed no mortal could possess, let alone use without being torn apart.
Arcanum.
Their own unique energy. It was swirling around in the illusion called magic in concentrations that some of THEM could not achieve. Every god in Orario turned to the brilliant light in collective shock.
Some were struck with fear and paranoia. Some who had darker minds almost instantly began plotting how to get this person on their side, or even kill him to eliminate any potential threats.
Some like Ouranos who was still seated on his throne watching everything from it began thinking on how to get this power to help them in their endeavours to better Orario altogether.
Ouranos himself was actually trying to figure out where this boy could have gotten it from because it did not feel like Freya's. It reflected the same qualities and the personality of this boy it seemed, a perfect mirror of his soul which mean it was his own.
But how did he acquire such an ability in the first place?
There was only one person who knew the answer. And he was watching all of this in his own dimension beyond the walls of the Omniverse and clapping his hands while laughing out loud on his balcony.
His maid smiled before collecting up his teacup and taking it away, leaving him to witness everything through his mirror.
But the theatrics of it all were but a means to an end, a prelude to the glory that the Labyrinth city was about to behold.

"W-w-what kind of m-magic is this?" Riveria stuttered, impressively not breaking her concentration on powering her barrier with her staff.
Ais stared breathlessly at the impressive magical circles and swirling lights around her. Being right inside of it all helped her get a more close up feel of the kind of power Garth was commanding.
And it was overwhelming. She felt it seeping into her pores, but then coming bac out again as if recognising she was not the caster. But just those slight sensations made her feel so much stronger than she knew she was.
But if just this residual magic could make her feel like that, what about the person who had it all in the palm of his hand and was controlling it as if it were some normal magic for him?
The fire he'd ignited inside her yesterday burned brighter with passion, the yearning to grow strong, and some other feeling she was still not able to identify. The only thing she knew was that she only felt it when ever she thought of Garth or was around him. And it seemed to rush to her face and make her cheeks warm whenever he spoke to her.
"It is my own personal magic, Riveria." Garth said. "This particular magic is one of the highest I can wield."
"Its so...beautiful, and terrifying at the same time. And its power is just...choking." Riveria gulped. "What type of magic is this Garth? And who did you learn it from?"
He turned back to her and smiled.
"I call it Tier Magic. And I was born with it. No one taught it to me." He focused his gaze on the spell once more. "Okay, the casting time is up. Now to see if my efforts bore any fruit."
"Huh?" Both Ais and Riveria said. They were ignored however as Garth cast the long awaited spell.
"I make this tribute to Nekros the Transcendental! [PERFECT ALL-ENCOMPASSING SANCTUARY]!"
The circles around him multiplied in size and number before they disappeared and a new barrier that was coloured blue seemed to explode out of his body. It grew bigger in size every second that passed.
The barrier generated by Riveria and all of Orario's other mages was coloured green. But it was just shattered as the new barrier collided with it and continued to expand outwards, continuously increasing in size until all of Orario as well as its immediate surrounding area was covered by the shield.
People stared in awe as all they saw was a transparent blue barrier stretching as far as their eyes could see, covering even Babel tower under its protection. They all gazed back at the singular adventurer that conjured this miracle.
The most impacted were the mages as they felt their collective strength crumble immediately the moment his own magic collided with theirs. They did not even have the chance to resist as their magic immediately gave way to this new power that was now covering the entire city in a protective glow. They looked upon the barbarian, their eyes filled with a mixture of reverence, fear and awe.
Garth lowered his arms and inspected his handiwork.
"Incredible! It actually worked!" He exclaimed
"Is this thing actually covering the ENTIRE city?!" Riveria gaped.
"Yes. It is. Now we don't have to worry about pieces colliding with the city when I destroy that rock."
"Just how powerful are you?"
Garth chuckled.
"As powerful as the guild notice says."
Something just clicked in Riveria's head.
"Hold on. Dd you just say you were going to destroy the meteor?"
"Yep."
"How?! That thing is huge. How are you going to destroy it?"
"You're about to see..."

(Garth POV)
I cast a [FLY] spell and began hovering high in the air for all of Orario's citizens to see me. I did not want to have to go around proving my strength to everyone I came across. So it was better to establish myself now.
Especially now that I had set up measures to make sure Saitama's mistake would not be repeated her with me. I lifted my hand to my throat and a green magic circle appeared there which would amplify my voice.
"Citizens of Orario!" I called out. Every gaze that was not on me was now on me with surprise at how I managed to project my voice so far.
"A great peril is upon us, one that could most certainly destroy us all if given the opportunity to do so. As you all witnessed, with my power, I have erected a safe haven which will protect not just our own lives but everything we hod dear, everything we have worked to build for a millennium.
But even I cannot be fully sure that the barrier can withstand a mountain sized flaming rock that has been hurled from beyond the skies towards us." I somehow sensed the immediate rise in panic at that. "But fear not, because with my own power yet again, I will destroy the meteor before it even reaches the barrier. Witness the power in me today! As I prove to ALL of you, that all you've heard of me regarding my power is true!"
I cut off both spells and free fell to the ground, creating spider cracks upon impact. Ais and Riveria both stared at me in confusion as I began walking away from them, while keeping in sight of everybody in the coliseum.
"What are you doing Garth?" Ais called to me.
"Yeah. How are you going to destroy that thing?" Riveria followed.
"Simple." I called back to them. "I'm going to punch it!"
{Insert Saitama's theme: Seigi Shikkou}
"What? Have you gone mad?!" shouted one of the other mages.
"Maybe I have..." I muttered. I crouched down, bending one knee while the other leg was drawn a little backwards. The ground began to shake around me, ensuing a little earthquake around me, which was felt my those closest to me.
I then jerked my legs, shooting up through the air like a bullet as I rocketed towards the meteor that had entered the atmosphere by this point. The ground below me was left as little more than a crater.
Ais stared at me from the ground, the shockwave produced from my jump flapping the hair violently around her face as she followed my form flying through the sky, phasing right through the barrier as if it weren't there.
All of Orario watched me as I made a seemingly impossible and suicidal move. I approached the giant rock with a speed that kept growing faster and faster. Flames began to engulf it as even though I was rocketing towards it at an increasing speed, it fell even faster.
I cocked my fist back.
"I will not..."
I clenched my fist even harder as the heat from the meteor began hit my face. My cape caught fire and lit alight in a blazing mess.
"...repeat the same..."
I punched forwards with more strength than I'd used at all ever since I got this power. But not all that I had as I didn't want to just spear a hole right through it and breach space while the rest of the rock still intact continued to fall towards the ground below.
"...MISTAKE!"
I collided with the meteor. All of Orario witnessed the actual meteor which was close enough for them to view properly, actually stop in the air suddenly, like it were caught by a giant invisible hand.
My clenched fist dug a hole right through the hot rock, all the way through. It gave way before me like soft butter. I shot out the other side of the meteor as it exploded beneath me with a sound that made my ears ring.
The sky grew was filled with a blinding blue light, as a thundering explosion sounded, releasing blue flames as the meteor shattered into thousands of smaller fragments.
The fragments fell and collided with the shield. Each collision sent ripples throughout the barrier, and each time it happened, the people were afraid they would break through.
But the fragments broke into smaller fragments if they were too big, and the smaller fragments rolled down the side of the shield onto the ground outside Orario's walls.
Small earthquakes shook the ground momentarily as the barrier rattled with the intensity of the barrage. As it was almost over, I dropped back down through the shield and landed in front of Ais and Riveria who were gobsmacked.
This time I congratulated myself as Ais had a proper expression of surprise on her face this time. Explosive impacts still rocked the shield, light being cast down on the ground even after I landed.
"I guess that takes care of that." I said simply, just as another particularly large explosion sounded behind me and the entire area in front of me was illuminated with a fiery glow.
