After walking thru the portal and arriving in the meeting hall, Cyrus makes his way to Brans room. Daenarys, petted her dragons as they stayed with her, suddenly a short Murloc came running past. Arms waving in the air as it gurgled all the way, stunning Daenarys stupid while the dragons hissed at it.
"Damn it Rickon, I swear no matter where I hide my stash you always find it!" Cyrus yelled at the running Murloc as it disappeared.
Shortly after Jon Snow came running who immediately after seeing Daenarys and three baby dragons he skitted to a stop, almost crashing face first into the ground.
But right then the blue dragon climbed down from Daenarys and crawled over to Jon climbed up on his shoulder and let out a baby dragon roar stunning both Daenarys and Cyrus. Jon froze in amazement not sure what to do.
'What the hell, Jon gets one but I don't? Oh that's right he is Targaryen.' Cyrus thought with jealousy completely forgetting Jon's real father since he didn't look like a Targaryen, but since the dragons did awaken he has felt a faint connection. A calling that felt familiar yet not. Deciding not to waste any more time Cyrus used his blink to get up to Brans room, he had to get his mother out of her mood.
After using [Regrowth] and [Rejuvenate] he was quickly able to get Bran as good as new. But after hearing what actually happened Cyrus again was having trouble containing his fury. Just as he thought it wasn't an accident, it was to silence him. He was pushed.
After calling Robb and Jon to have a Stark meeting with his mother and the now awake Bran, they decided to let Rickon do the Murloc thing, he was still young.
After informing them of what he found out about the Bolton and Dustin houses along with their pact with the lion, and specific details. He made sure to leave out the massacre at the wedding.
With him, his brothers and parent's dead, Sansa and Arya would be wed off to secure their hold on the North, basically hostages for life or until they birth an heir for the Bolton's while House Dustin would be second in command.
Immediately Caitlyn wanted to use the communication device to notify Ned of everything. If the Bolton's wanted to attack to capture the North the best time would be while Ned was away. But Cyrus quickly stopped her explaining they were still on the road so may be around Lannister men. He felt it would be best to speak directly so they wouldn't know Bran was awake.
After giving a quick explanation to his mother about his plan, he also explained Daenarys and her dragons, which went over spendidly. He also informed his mother and Robb to increase the guard and keep their eyes on both in Bolton and Dustin direction mainly. Leaving Daenarys at Winterfell he portaled to his fathers location, they were still a little more than a couple weeks from arriving at Kings Landing.
After arriving near his father he felt that connection since the birth of the dragons strengthened. He felt a little excited, like he did have a dragon of his own and it was in the direction of Kings Landing. He wanted to fly to that connection and see what it was, but stayed put and rode along with them building a few more [S.A.V.I.O.R.] since they were under threat from the living now too.
Once Cyrus was able to find a moment for him and Ned to talk privately, Cyrus had to calm himself again. After he found out how Joffrey and Sansa were walking and came upon Arya and her friend, the butchers boy, playing sword fighting with sticks. Needless to say Joffrey used his real sword and after pointing his sword at Arya her wolf Nymeria bit Joffrey. He tried to lie and say Arya and her wolf attacked him for nothing. Luckily rather than defend Joffrey Sansa backed her sister, even though she thought it would be nice to be Queen she didn't get taught by the Septa for long before the Septa was driven out and she had a more northern upbringing. She still enjoyed girly things but she knew the pack stays together.
Cyrus wanted to go punch that punch happy face of Joffrey for trying to put his sisters direwolves down. But his father kept him there and they continued to discuss their options in handling the three houses they find themselves against, one of which is part of the Royal Family.
Since more and more pressure was starting to build, sure he wasn't scared for himself but rather his sisters and mother, he began to have a new perspective after seeing Daenarys helpless situation and thinking that it could be his sisters or mother if they are lucky and it's not the Lich King that gets them.
He has been stuck at level 65 for a long time, those last 5 levels were always the toughest. He did gain a bit of experience from the Dothraki but not much. He knew where he had to go but was dreading it. Say what you want, the Undead may be weak but many groups have run into much the same usually going something like:
You and your team are running smoothly through the hordes lf undead. During a scheduled rest you plan your attack while Leeroy over there is crunching on his fried chicken not listened then bam all that work down the drain, thx Leeroy.
You get the idea, one mistake and they are swarming you, even with all classes in one group it'll still be about endurance and he was alone. They did receive good news in that a few days after the dragon bonded with Jon he gained access to his mana. He had always felt something was holding him back and came to find out Targaryen required a bonded dragon before they could access their magic, the dragon acted like a regulator and generator for them after bonding.
So Jon and Daenarys practiced magic together and after finding out they were related ended having a true sibling bond since even though they were Aunt and Nephew they felt more like siblings since they were of similar age. Jon was a good teacher, humble and patient as per usual allowing Daenarys to learn quickly.
Jon too improved thanks to the new motivator and competition.
Robbs and Neds warrior skills and abilities also improved due to keeping up with the exercises and practice swings.
Bran too began to show signs of abilities, he has been able to warg into his wolf at night, so Maester Luwin had Howland Reed come train Bran since they have had Wargs much more recent than the Stark family has.
Arya showed talents as a Rogue, so after designing a training regiment to get her ready Arya stuck to it also quickly improving like a fish swimming thru the water. She was quick and agile.
Sansa well she was much like their mother, leaning onto the priestly talent. Even though she always carried herself like a proper lady with an Icy exterior deep down she was a kind and caring girl. She would nurse animals that were injured back to health, she would bring random stray cats pretending she didn't coax it to follow it just did, we all knew the truth. They kept the rats down so nobody truly minded.
However she didn't really put forth much effort not really seeing the danger, not that she didn't understand it but they were always safe in the north. She could walk openly and one shout would bring many people to help her no matter what was needed. But the south and Kings Landing were different, you yell there; more than likely you'd add the same amount of new assailants rather than helpers.
Politics and word battles reigned supreme in the south, you're just as likely to strike it rich as you are a knife or sword in your back after getting paid.
Upon finally arriving at Kings Landing, Cyrus looked out to the direction the connection was coming from. He could feel it, it was making him excited. It was just so damn familiar and since he was seeing the source, it had confirmed part of his suspicion.
"Dragonstone"
The place where the Heir of the Iron throne resided until taking their rightful place when the previous king abdicates or dies. It was the times when dragons were plenty and the Targaryens would find the eggs to their own dragons hatching them there. But now it is ruled by Stannis Baratheon. Master of Ships and Commander of the Royal Navy. He had already made arrangements to meet Shireen and her parents through his mother.
Originally he didn't plan to ask for a reward for healing and curing Shireen, but now he had to explore that volcano on the island. Shouldn't be asking too much, and if he was denied he knew he could do it sneakily but you never know with these things.
With how things have been going he wouldn't be surprised if the volcano blew up upon him sneaking in waking the whole realm from slumber with a big mushroom cloud saying: Cyrus. Did. It.
Much safer to have permission. Then what can they say? Won't bother him any.
However that excitement was quickly vanishing that night after he began having vivid flashes of the dark portal, cages of living people surrounded and stacked around the completed doorway.
Gul'dan drains the millions of people of their souls to power the dark portal. His vision zooming to a certain cage, there he saw his family and friends many he didn't know but did feel a kinship to. All screaming in pain and agony as their souls are stripped clean and used to ferry the Lich King and the Burning Legion. His mother and brothers and sisters his father all of them, he saw their pain and felt it.
Then after hearing the name 'Arthas' spoken in the Lich Kings voice, we woke up sweating and breathing heavily, looking out to the waters of the island that called him even more.
"Dragonstone."
