Capítulo 2: 2) Self-Discovery
Now who would of thought I'd be ass-naked in the middle of street after being attacked by two malevolent entities that wanted to turn me into demonchow?
DEFINITELY not me!
But I got up, and either the creatures all decided to go home at the same time or the mysterious guardians killed them all. The former sounds a lot less plausible but I would remain optimistic. It is the only thing I'm clinging to at this point anyways..
But now I was curious. There was a slight distortion in my vision, as if I was looking at a heat wave (which shouldn't be possible since it was still the beginning of winter). I wanted to get up, but it appears I rolled my ankle at some point running away (my ankle looks like a golf ball) from those creatures, only having adrenaline to keep me standing.
"Just perfect. Now I can't even hide from authorities. Does this make me a public offender? Man, I'll never understand this predicament.." I grieved while trying to crawl back into what remained of my store.
As I approached it, I noticed that the neon sign in my way slowly corroded away and this raised an interesting theory. If I were to get closer to the other side of the street, would the lamppost corrode away as well?
So that's what I did
I managed to muster a pathetic limp across the street, and I etched closer to the lamppost. The moment I entered around a 8 meter radius of the lamp, the light bulb shatterered and the metal that held it up sizzled and crumbled away.
Just like my store! (still sad about that)
Whatever that energy was that I felt surge within me.. this must be the byproduct of it.
Suddenly, I heard screeching in my close proximity, similar of the bat that attacked me earlier. More were coming!
Shit.." I groaned as I braced myself for another fight against something I BARELY beat.
"There's 5 of them, Noritoshi!"
I looked above and I seen… a witch? On a floating broom stick??
Shortly after, 4 arrows came flying and pierced the bats in rapid succession.
BUT THERE WAS STILL ONE MORE CLOSING IN!
Then I heard a gunshot somewhere in the distance, followed by a zip and the bat had a nasty hole in its wing. It yelped and started falling down towards me but to my surprise, it was almost instantly vaporized the monent it came into around a legs length of me.
So, the barrier of invisible acid shrunk in the span of 7 minutes from almost the entire width of the street to a few feet in front of me?
Interesting..
The little which came down near me but not close enough to be burned.
"Wait wait!! If you come to close you might get hurt." I reached out my hands, adamantly explaining myself.
"Before you worry about hurting others, you should probably cover up.." the little witch winced at the sight of my…well you know.
I laughed nervously and covered my private parts.
Four more individuals rushed towards me. An average height girl with blue bangs and a sword, a tall guy with braids and bow, a short haired girl with a sniper rifle (what?), and lastly a…robot. (WHAT?!)
Confusion doesn't even begin to display what I'm feeling at this moment
"Who's the cutie? And why is he naked..?" The short haired girl leaned against the robot.
"That's what we're all trying to figure that out Mai."
The braids guy spoke with an undoubted confidence and authority; he's DEFINITELY the leader.
"His cursed energy is leaking everywhere! It feels so gross and icky! When can we leave??"
Little witch surely runs her mouth…even though I have absolutely no clue what any of that means. I guess cursed energy that explosive surge of energy that was corroding everything around me ..
(A/N: I will refer to 'cursed energy' as 'CE' unless stated otherwise)
"Can we please get him some clothes..? I feel bad just looking at him scrape the street" the blue haired girl distressed.
"I agree" spoke the robot.
I kinda just sat in the middle of them all, waiting for something to happen. A bit irritated that they were suggesting for me to get dressed..but not offering any clothes..
"I'm not gonna lie, I have no idea what's happening or why I'm naked or those monsters you fought or what "cursed energy" is or ANYTHING! You see that store over there? Yeah, I work there! Or at least I did… but you know what I'm trying to say!"
They all looked at each other, then looked at me, then looked at each other again and nodded.
"I'll call Principal Gakuganji." said Noritoshi. He dialed his phone and began speaking, which I tuned out.
'A real authority figure, about damn time! Hopefully he can explain things a little be-'
My thought was cut short by a fascinating question that I was only asked a couple times if my memory serves me correct
"So…do you have a girlfriend?" asked the short haired girl.
"Mai, seriously? Take this a bit more serious would you?" said the robot
She groaned and shrugged, still holding her sniper rifle in her right hand "Oh shut up Mechamaru, I'm just getting to know him."
So we got 3 names, robot=Mechamaru, braid boy=Noritoshi, and gun girl=Mai. That's conviently easy to remember.
"Anyways, I'll explain thoroughly what has been going on tonight and the things that will probably ensure in your immediate future. Get comfortable while Principal Gakuganji takes his SWEET TIME getting here." Noritoshi sat down in front of me and began explaining all the ins and outs of everything.

15 minutes later, he finally stopped talking. All things jujutsu were explained and now the predicament I was in just went from bad to WORSE. Cursed spirits? Energy? A secret government that helps protect Japan from threats they can't even perceive?? And now that I unlocked my own curse energy out of my own negative emotion (fear & regret), I can use this to battle curses on my own.
I nearly fainted from all the information explained to me in such a short time, but I think I understand what I must do now.
"So, do you get it? You must join us sorceres unless you want to be, well," he paused for a moment, tied an imaginary rope with his hands, and tightened it whioe looking at me.
"Yeah, I get it." I got up with a black cloth around my waist. "Join or die. I guess I have no choice then."
I noticed an old man casually strolling towards us and they all bowed to him, and so did I.
"It's good that you don't want to die, I can tell you have talent for jujutsu and will be an asset on our side." He stroked his beard slowly while analyzing, probably seeing something inside of me I haven't been able to notice yet.
"Thank you, you must be Principal Gakuganji. Pleased to meet you."
"I wish I could say the same but after I enroll you in Kyoto's Jujutsu Technical College tomorrow, you're immediately being put in Tokyo's college the day after. I almost guarantee we may never meet again."
….
So much for being respectful to old folks.
But being transferred to Tokyo doesn't sound too bad. Wait.. is housing available? Where the hell am I gonna stay?
"Is housing offere-"
"Yes." the entire group said simultaneously. I guess it was time to go home, they were starting to get real cranky.
"Okay, well lead the way!"
So off I go into my new life, ass naked and curious about what will be in store for me.
