"We have family dinner tonight at the mansion, dad called a few minutes ago," Chan stated adding butter to her toasted bread. "What is it for?" I had to ask, having impromptu meetings always came with drama, that is the last thing I wanted in my life right now. "Avery, she's found a man to marry, she's making an introduction tonight," Chan stated.
I had two feelings about the information I just heard, I should be happy for Avery and at the same time don't know if she's doing the right thing. Avery's not straight and finding a man might be a bit too much on her, but I understand what she's going especially the pressure her mother and grandma has put her through lately.
Words have reached out, people were beginning to ask questions, it was questionable while the first daughter of the Wilson's family was yet to get married, while her younger sister already has a child. No one was getting any younger so it was wise she got married and start having kids.
"What do you think about it brother Alex? Isn't it weird Avery found a man? I mean we all know she isn't strange" She asked keeping all her focus on him. At the sight of Alex, my heart skipped and flashy images of last night's event rushed through my head. We were... We kissed." I blinked my eyes multiple times to think straight.
We just thought it was better neither of us talked about it as there was no one to blame for it. If I hadn't fallen into that water, Alex would never have been tempted to kiss me. I should stay away from him from now on, and just let the maids tend to his needs.
"As you should, you're thirty now shouldn't you be thinking of that too?" He asked taking a bite from his apple. "Hahaha, Alex, when you put it that way it really does sound strange. You know marriage is not a priority for me, as it's hard to find my match." Chan tucked her hair to the back of her ear unpleased at what Alex said. I noticed the slight frown on her face as she tried to muster up a smile.
Alex said nothing else as he went on to cut Leah's cooked apple. Since they were still babies, I asked the cook to prepare cooked apples for the triplet rather than giving them fresh raw apples since it was too strong for them. She chewed the apple smiling at her father, they were yet to practice eating so they had their food littered on their body as usual.
My mind slowly drifted to Avery, worried if she was okay. She wasn't attracted to men, and that worried me a lot, we might not have been best of friends, but that didn't mean I don't care about her. Especially if she's so dear to my baby Carie.

"You don't know what you're doing, this would not work." Mrs. Dior said to the girl staring out the window from the last floor of a luxurious hotel. Avery knew her family would be so curious and would not want to wait for him to get introduced and might want to find out who he is themselves.
She knew there were men stationed in strategic places in NYC, and she didn't want them finding out who she was getting married to till she was ready to introduce him. "He doesn't have to know, you said so yourself mother. You said he would never regain those memories anymore so why are you scared?"
"Yes, yes the doctor might have said so but I don't want him close to your family, you know they despise him a lot." Mrs. Dior tried to reason with Avery, she was scared for her son. At least she's stayed to witness what the Wilsons we're capable of, she was scared her son might fall in love with Hazel again.
She knew how attached Falcon was to her, he was willing to accept her even when he knew she was pregnant with not one, but triplets. He was ready to settle down for the first time in his life, she could see her son gradually becoming a man cause of Hazel even if she decided to turn a blind eye to it and only focused on the money.
She wasn't only scared for Falcon but was frightened of Hazel too, having been part of the reason for her early labor. Though Genevieve already told her she took punishments for the both of them, Mrs. Dior couldn't help but shiver at the thought of the Wilsons. She didn't believe she accepted a Wilson as her daughter-in-law.
If only the girl have an idea of who Falcon is when it comes to Hazel. That witch. "You don't have to worry mother, nothing will happen, I'm with you guys." She cupped the woman's face with both her hands as she encouraged her.

Soon it was evening, and we all had to dress u for the dinner, just as Alex had said, we were going to spend the night with mother and grandma. I stepped out of my room in a black not so tight and not so loose bodycon dress. My hair was tired in the ponytail hanging below my waist, that's how long it had become.
I have been avoiding Alex all day, leaving him with Chan that's one of the reasons she was still around. There's no way I could rudely send her pit since she was family, but that didn't mean I enjoyed her presence here. It's hard living in the same mansion with someone who has feelings for your man, especially when she's trying so hard to get his attention.
"Perfect, see, I told you I could do it." I heard her voice and it felt like it was coming from Alex's room. What could she be doing there? I should walk past it since it's none of my business, especially checking the kids, but my curiosity didn't let me walk past his room as I wanted to confirm what I just heard.
I pushed the door to the bedroom which was already slightly open. I stepped into the empty room which felt like a desert cause there was no one in there, I darted my gaze around admiring the room that once used to be my room too. Letting out a sigh, I strode to the door and was about to step out when I heard...
"Huh, Alex what are you doing?"
