"I think we should help them" - Mimosa said, but she still waited for Noah's answer

"Let's go, but stay on guard. Don't give them your backs, make sure to be ready for a fight against them at a moment's notice" - Noah finally made his decision

[This is risky Noah. What if they truly are the enemy here] - Draco

[Then I would kill them all. Besides I have an idea] - Noah

[What do you have in mind?] - Draco

[I'm going to go down the center of the area. I'll keep the Heart mages on my right and the rest of the Clover mages on my left. I'll act as a sort of separator. If the Heart mages attack, I'll be the first to react] - Noah

[Alright. That doesn't sound too bad of an idea] - Draco

By the time Noah and Draco were done talking, the Clover team had reached the battlefield. It was like a sand box that kinds used to play in, the same ones that Noah had seen in his past life. But this one was a massive sand box. On one corner of the filed there were the Heart mages. The were firing magic at the golems.

Each one of the golems was about 10 meters in height. All of them were constructed out of stone, or hardened clay. The had humanoid look, their eyes shone on a turquoise green.

'Thankfully none of them seemed to have weapons, nor did they use magic to attack from a long distance. This should be easy to handle' - Noah thought before he fired his magic

{Death Dragon ROAR} Noah spat out a condensed stream of dark purple fire. The stream of fire had split the battlefield in half.

The twenty giant golems were split into two groups. The group on the Heart kingdom's side were about seven golems. The Clover side had eight golems. The other five were destroyed by Noah's attack.

Noah landed in the center of the battlefield. The rest of the Clover mages had landed on the left hand side of the field, whole the Heart mages were on his right hand side.

"I thought the Clover kingdom weren't going to come" - Said a tall, lean man with shaggy, grey hair and a ponytail. The man had a small mustache and goatee. The man said as he walked closer to Noah

"We ran into a minor snag on our way down here. My name is Noah Silva, I'm leading the Clover team" - Noah said

"My name is Smurik. I'm the leader of the Heart kingdom mages" - Asked Smurik

Two golems rushed the two while they were talking.

In an instant a black sword manifested in Noah's hand. And in less than an instant, he had swung the black sword upwards.

A thin black line passed right through one of the golems. The line passed so easily like there was no resistance from the golem at all.

A second after the line passed, the golem was cleanly split in half and collapsed to the ground.

At the same time, Smurik had put his hand out. A string of runes had manifested around his hand in a circular shape. A thick beam of wind collided with the golem completely destroying it.

"How long you've been here for?" - Noah

"We've been in this battle for an hour" - Smurik

Noah looked around, and besides of the two golems they had just killed, there were no other golem remains left around.

"These things are too weak, what took you so long?" - Noah puzzled

"They don't seem to stay down for more than a minute" - Smurik

Just then the golem, that Noah had just cut down, had mended together and then it stood up and started running towards Noah

[Did that thing use nature mana to fix itself?! Holy crap!] - Noah was so excited to see the golem use nature mana so freely.

[I'm surprised at how good these golems are made] - Draco

Noah agreed with Draco before he turned back towards the golems.

[It seems that it takes longer to regenerate the more destroyed it is.] - Noah

[That is true. The one you cleanly cut, regenerated the fastest. The ones that you burned at the very biggening had just regenerated] - Draco commented

[This is fascinating. I understand the one I split in half, but the ones that I completely burned at the beginning, that is absurd] - Noah

Noah started firing black bullets at the golems, filling most of them of holes.

[Now I understand! It's not as I thought, it's a little different, but it's still very impressive regardless] - Noah said after killing about ten golems

[What did you figure out?] - Draco asked

[Every one of those stones, is made up of many smaller sand. Each and every one of those sand grains has a rune inscribed on it. That's not all, those runes are receiver runes, they receive orders from some where else. My bet is that there is a core placed away from the golems and controls them from a distance away] - Noah explained as he struck down another golem

[Then how did the ones you burned come back, even after the sand was completely destroyed?] - Draco

[Because the whole place is inscribed. So it just gathers the necessary sand from all around us and gathers and condenses them into stones that are used to build the golems] - Noah said as he dodged a golem, before destroying the golem with a black magic beam

[Alright, now that we know how these golems work, how should we dispatch them] - Draco

[That I do not know just yet] - Noah said

Both the Clover team and the Heart team had battled the golems for a long time. It had been an hour since the Clover team joined them in this fight.

[Any new ideas Noah] - Draco asked

[I got nothing yet] - Noah

[Yu need to hurry up. The Heart mages are on their last legs and the Clover mages aren't too far behind] - Draco

Noah looked around and he can see how tired everyone around him looked. Other than Noah only Smurik was unaffected.

'How should I do this? I've been trying to find the core but I can't sense it anywhere' While Noah was contemplating what to do, Smurik interrupted his thoughts

"Noah, do you have any ideas on how to keep them down permanently? My team is running low on mana"

"All I can gather is that the golems should have a core somewhere, it's the core that keeps supplying them with mana for them to regenerate. We have to find the core and destroy it. That's the only way to break them down for good" - Noah said as he destroyed another golem

"I'll leave your team to hold the golems back and my team and I will go search for the core" - Smurik said

"My team has a good tracker in it, we should be the ones to go" - Noah

"My team also has a good tracker. Besides we have been fighting for an hour before you guys arrived. You are not as tired as we are, you should be able to hold them off more than we can" - Smurik

Noah looked at Smurik for a moment, he contemplated whether he should trust Smurik or not. He had been on guard the whole time, and even though Noah doesn't have a bad feeling about this, he still wanted to be sure.

"Alright, we will hold them off." - Noah

Noah turned and looked at the Clover mages. "We will hold the golems while the Heart mages find the core to destroy it" - Noah ordered them

All of them nodded and gathered closer towards Noah

Smurik and Noah ran towards the area where the rest of the Heart mages were. Noah then sent a bunch of black slashes at the golems. The golems only take a minute regenerate, but that was enough for the Heart mages to run away.

Noah and the rest of the Clover mages stood in formation

"I thought you said to be on guard against them, so what gives? Why are we holding the golems while they run away" - Selena asked

"Let's go to the corner of the room for now" - Noah said as the group got to the corner.

Noah looked at the team, "You should sit down and relax. Try to build up your mana and keep an eye out against any sneak attacks. I'll take care of the golems"

"You didn't answer my question" - Selena said before Noah walked away

"I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. If it turns out that they betrayed us, I'll personally kill them" - Noah said

Noah turned around and looked at the golems rushing at them. The Clover mages behind him had sat down and started to recuperate. Noah's eyes flashed with a dark purple light. 'Lets experiment with a few new moves'
