The stands were packed with students from all the different halls, cheering on their fellow classmates. The duel was between Unicorn Hall and Minotaur Hall, both teams eager to prove their strength and earn the title of champions.

Unicorn Hall's captain, Sophie, led her team onto the field. With her were Oliver, who wielded water magic, Maya, who specialized in earth magic, Dylan, who controlled shadow magic, Chloe, who wielded fire magic, and Ryan, who harnessed the power of wind magic.

They were a diverse group, each with their own strengths and abilities.

Minotaur Hall's team was equally impressive, with their captain being Owen, led his team to the other side of the platform with him were Sophia, Jason, Ashley, Ryan, and Molly ready to show off their skills.

Owen was skilled in fire magic, Sophia in water magic, Jason in earth magic, Ashley in shadow magic, Ryan in fire magic, and Molly in wind magic.

The duel master raised their wand, signaling the start of the match. The air was charged with magic as both teams launched their spells at each other. The powerful bursts of energy lit up the arena as the students cast their spells with precision and grace.

Sophie, the captain of Unicorn Hall, started the offense with a blazing fireball aimed at Owen from Minotaur Hall. But Owen was quick to deflect the spell with a wave of his hand, sending the fire harmlessly to the side.

Sophia then summoned a tidal wave, crashing down on Maya from Unicorn Hall. Maya countered with a wall of stone, blocking the water and protecting her team.

Dylan from Unicorn Hall cast a spell of darkness, enveloping Jason from Minotaur Hall. Jason was undeterred, using his earth magic to burrow underground and emerge behind Dylan.

Chloe and Ryan, both wielding fire magic, worked together to create a storm of flame that Sophia from Minotaur Hall countered with a deluge of water.

The match continued in this way, both teams working together to coordinate their spells and outmaneuver their opponents. The arena was alive with the sound of spells being cast, the air crackling with magic.

In the end, it was Unicorn Hall who emerged victorious. Their combined efforts and teamwork proved to be too much for Minotaur Hall. Sophie, Oliver, Maya, Dylan, Chloe, and Ryan hugged each other in celebration as they received the cheers of the crowd.

The first match of the Interhall Spell Duel Competition was a thrilling and intense bout, setting the tone for the rest of the competition.

The next match was between Griffin Hall and Centaur Hall was set to be an intense and exciting bout. As the students took their positions on opposite sides of the arena, the crowd could feel the anticipation and tension in the air.

Jenna, the captain of Griffin Hall, took the lead, summoning a gust of wind that fiercely propelled towards the Centaur Hall team. Tyler, who wielded wind magic like Jenna, joined in, creating a whirlwind that threatened to knock the opposing team off their feet.

Marcus, the captain of Centaur Hall, countered with a burst of lightning that illuminated the arena and disrupted the wind magic of Griffin Hall. Lucas followed with a massive boulder, formed from his earth magic, that he hurled at Hailey and Michael.

Hailey, who wielded fire magic, retaliated with a barrage of blazing arrows, but Emily, who also wielded fire magic, managed to deflect them with her quick reflexes. Daniel added to the defense with his metal magic, constructing a barrier that protected the Centaur Hall team from the incoming attacks.

Despite the strong showing from Griffin Hall, the Centaur Hall team was relentless in their pursuit of victory. Rachel unleashed a stream of fire that threatened to engulf Jenna, Tyler and Hailey. Liam, who wielded water magic, swiftly put out the flames with a wave of water.

In the end, it was a close match but Centaur Hall ultimately came out on top, with their coordinated and strategic use of their respective magics. The crowd erupted in applause as Marcus and the rest of Centaur Hall celebrated their victory and moved on to the next stage of the interhall spell duel competition.

It was midday as half of the halls have finished their bouts floating about in the center of the area is a tournament ladder showing all eight teams. Two being crossed out which where Griffin and Minotaur and the two that had moved on Unicorn and Centaur.

After lunch the tournament resumed with Phoenix and Chimera Halls about to take the stage.

The Chimera Hall and Phoenix Hall teams faced off in the interhall spell duel competition, each determined to prove their superiority. Nina, the captain of Chimera Hall, stood tall and proud, her nature magic pulsing around her in a vibrant green aura. Leo and Ava, both wielding fire and ice magic respectively, stood by her side, ready to unleash their powers. Tyler, Hannah and Jake rounded out the team, each with their own unique talents in light, shadow, and earth magic.

Opposite them, the Phoenix Hall team stood fierce and confident, led by their captain, Sam. The wind magic user had her hair whipping in the wind as she summoned powerful gusts, creating a barrier between her team and their opponents. Emma and Nathan, both wielding fire magic, stood ready to ignite the arena, while Ava and Jake also added their wind magic to the mix. Finally, Lily rounded out the team with her lava magic, her hands glowing red with intense heat.

As the match began, Nina raised her hand, causing vines and leaves to sprout from the ground, trapping Phoenix Hall's Emma and Nathan. But, Sam was quick to react, summoning a powerful gust that knocked Nina back and freed her teammates. Leo and Ava stepped forward, firing scorching flames and biting icicles at the Phoenix Hall team, but Sam deftly dodged, using her wind magic to redirect their attacks.

Nathan and Emma retaliated, sending blasts of fire towards Chimera Hall, but Tyler and Hannah were quick to counter with their light and shadow magic, creating a shimmering shield that protected their teammates. As the two teams clashed, spells flying in every direction, the arena became a kaleidoscope of color and light.

Despite their best efforts, Chimera Hall was no match for Phoenix Hall's teamwork and quick thinking. Sam and her team worked together seamlessly, their magic combining to create a barrage of spells that overwhelmed their opponents. In the end, Phoenix Hall emerged victorious, their powerful display of magic earning them a spot in the next round of the competition.

With that it was onto the final match of the first round which was Dragon hall taking on Mermaid hall. Arin saddened that he would be having to face off against his friend Lila but he knows that it's nothing personal.

The Dragon Hall and Mermaid Hall students stood on opposite sides of the spell duel arena, each determined to win the competition. The air was thick with anticipation as the teams prepared for the intense match. The sound of chanting echoed through the arena as the students from both halls recited their incantations, their magic crackling to life.

Arin, the captain of Dragon Hall stepped forward, his hand glowing with a warm, golden light as he summoned his Rune Magic. Tristan, his roommate, stood beside him, his body surrounded by a swirl of dust and rocks as he wielded his Earth Magic.

Mariana, the captain of Mermaid Hall, stepped forward, her eyes blazing with a fierce determination as she called forth her Water Magic. Lila, Arin's friend, stood beside her, her body surrounded by a shimmering wall of water as she summoned her own powers.

The match began with a burst of magic as the teams cast their spells at one another. Arin's Radiant Blast clashed with Mariana's water wall, the two spells exploding in a dazzling display of light and water. Rhys and Isaac exchanged blows, their magic slamming into one another in a hail of Force and Nature magic.

The match continued at a feverish pace, the students using their magic to outmaneuver and outwit their opponents. Aria and Ariel's Water Magic battled, their spells swirling and churning in a graceful dance. Felix and Noah's Fire and Earth magic collided, sparks and boulders raining down on the arena floor.

As the match progressed, the tension grew palpable. The students from both halls were evenly matched, their magic clashing in an intense display of skill and power. It all came down to the final showdown between Arin and Lila, the last two standing from their respective teams.

The two friends stood facing each other, their eyes locked in a fierce gaze. The arena was silent as the two students summoned their magic, their bodies glowing with a fierce energy. Arin's Stone Bullet clashed with Lila's water whip, the two spells slamming into one another in a thunderous explosion.

The two friends continued to exchange blows, their magic slamming into one another in a chaotic display of power. It was a close match, but in the end, it was Arin who emerged victorious, his Radiant Blast slamming into Lila's water wall and sending her flying across the arena.

With their victory secured, the students from Dragon Hall erupted into cheers and celebrations. They had fought hard and won a hard-fought battle against Mermaid Hall. Arin and Lila hugged each other, both smiling despite the intense competition they had just gone through. The students from both halls left the arena, eager to continue their training and to prepare for the next stage of the interhall spell duel competition.

Headmaster Raven stepped up to the podium, the sound of his staff tapping the ground echoed through the hall. All the students from the different halls stood up straight, eagerly waiting for the results of the first round of the inter-hall spell duel tournament.

"Students, I would like to congratulate Dragon Hall, Centaur Hall, Unicorn Hall, and Phoenix Hall on their victories in the first round. You have demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork, and I have no doubt that you will continue to do so in the upcoming rounds," Raven announced, his voice echoing through the hall.

The students from the four winning halls erupted in cheers and applause, basking in the pride of their accomplishment. Meanwhile, the students from Griffin Hall, Minotaur Hall, Chimera Hall, and Mermaid Hall hung their heads in disappointment, already thinking about what they could have done better.

"I understand that the loss is difficult, but I would like to remind all of you that there is always next year. And for those of you who will not be advancing to the semi-finals, I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors," Raven continued, his voice calm and comforting.

The students from the four losing halls nodded, slowly regaining their spirits as they thought about the future.

"Now, for the semi-finals. The next match will be between Dragon Hall and Centaur Hall. The winner of this match will go on to face the winner of the match between Unicorn Hall and Phoenix Hall. The semi-finals will be held tomorrow, and I expect you all to give it your best effort," Raven finished, tapping his staff once more for emphasis.

The students cheered, the sound filling the hall. Raven smiled, looking over the students with pride. The tournament was going to be a tough and exciting one, but he knew that no matter what, all the students would give it their best.
