The spells flew at the tall and thick dark barrier as explosions of thunderous proportions resounded across the battlefield.

The allied mages stood their ground as they maintained the collective shield despite the hefty energy cost as the mana shield kept being bombarded with various long-range spells as the hooded devils approached.

At this point, archers weren't even trying to properly aim at the enemy as they eventually ran out of bolts.

"We are out of ammo!" one of the archers anxiously announced to the troops below as heavy gulps soon followed after.

Several audible curses resounded as helplessness descended. Despite their riled-up mood, the allied mages still had their heads on their shoulders and could easily see their disadvantageous position.
