The fight raged between Kurt and Octavius.
It barely seemed like they were exchanging blows for a mere thirty seconds.
And with every second that passed, the system sounded in Kurt's mind, with that alarm that, if it weren't for his supernatural focus on the fight, would easily make him get hit more times than he would like.
But Kurt had a smile on his lips.
Octavius was bleeding.
Even though Kurt still realized how much his power wasn't great enough, he was more than happy to be able to make his father bleed.
But the clock still kept ticking.
And time was not on Kurt's side.

Evellyn and her group, after much effort, were finally face to face with the White House.
They could no longer hear the sound of fighting behind them, having left that unusual group of allied wielders fighting for them in Rock Creek Park.
"Okay... Where to now?" Evellyn wondered, when she heard several clicks of firearms being cocked.
To everyone who dare to get this far
I'm fixing the issue with the beginning of this first volume of the story.
Which means that I'll have the story in a correct order as soon as possible. At most, by the end of the month.
But it also means that I'll have less chapters concretely updated, because I'll edit the already released ones, in order to fix their order.
The story will look shorter, but right, this time, and in no time, I''ll be able to release new chapters, and you all will be able to fully enjoy the experience of reading it.
Thank you all.
