As the scene unfolded, Zou Guanting found himself being pulled away by Liu Yifan, like a rag doll. It was absolute chaos, and Mo Hai couldn't believe her eyes. Liu Yifan, who she always considered a responsible and serious person, was now acting like a hyperactive kid.
They finally reached the stream, and Zou Guanting tried to break free from Liu Yifan's grip. However, Liu Yifan held on tightly, making Zou Guanting feel like he was stuck in quicksand. Mo Hai was about to intervene, but before she could even move, the two of them slipped and fell into the stream.
"Let go of me!" Zou Guanting shouted.
"I can't do that, uncle! You promised me you'll never leave me!" Liu Yifan exclaimed.
"What? I'm not your uncle! When did I promise you that?" Zou Guanting responded, feeling bewildered.
"You said you loved me and wanted to marry me, and that we should build a home together," Liu Yifan said with a sly grin.
Zou Guanting was speechless, and Mo Hai couldn't help but burst out laughing. It is quite a sight to behold!
Zou Guanting pushed Liu Yifan away and left the stream feeling extremely embarrassed.
After some time, he found the situation so ridiculous that he couldn't help but laugh.
Later, they all sat by the fire roasting fish on sticks, except for Liu Yifan who did not eat meat. Zou Guanting kept taunting him with his half-eaten fish, and in return, Liu Yifan would keep his fish in his mouth without swallowing.
Mo Hai was concerned about the tribe they had left behind, especially since Liu Yifan is the prince of that tribe. She had left her uniform behind but still has her dagger, which was her only possession from her world and a gift from her grandfather.
The fire flickered and cast shadows while Mo Hai heard the sound of chewing, crickets, frogs, wind, and the smell of roasting fish.
She suddenly got the idea of cooking frogs and went to the stream to get one, which surprised Liu Yifan and Zou Guanting upon her return.
The frog struggled in her hands trying to break free.
"Why do you have that frog?"
"it's cute right?"
"Yeah— Ahh?!"
Zou Guanting hastily stepped away as the frog wriggled in Mo Hai's grip, looking like it might hop away at any moment.
Mo Hai grinned, enjoying the absurdity of it all. "I was thinking we could cook it and have a tasty snack. What do you guys think?"
Liu Yifan shook his head adamantly, while Zou Guanting made a face. "I don't know, that thing looks like it could be poisonous or something."
Mo Hai shrugged. "Suit yourself, more for me then."
