Capítulo 25: Explanation
How do you do?
So I thought it imperative to explain some things here.
There were some people 'complaining' about the actions of the MC and how he 'thinks and acts'.
He was called stupid and he supposedly would act differently with all that power.
To this I say.... you are correct. I am a novice in the delicate art of writing a story and do it mostly for fun and to get my mind off of my studies.
So I make mistakes. The MC is only as smart as the author who writes him.
..... so no that smart....
While I like an MC that is OP, I don't like it when he flaunts his powers like a young master and just one-shots every problem he has.
The MC is a monk and in this story, he has his emotions under control. He does not need acknowledgement or thanks from those he helps and is not interested in laurels.
There was someone that pointed out the fact that he does not act against criminals like Magneto.
The MC mainly concerns himself with the protection of the earth and humans as a whole. He is similar to the Masters of the Mystic Arts in that regard, but he also concerns himself with non-mystical and magical threats.
And while Magneto has the potential to become a threat to the earth, at this point in time, Erik is not a threat and the MC does not concern himself with him .... yet.
I was aiming for a monk-like character with the power to change things but with enough humility not to abuse his power and create something like a dictator.
I was trying to give him some humour but I'm not a professional so this might not always work. His nonchalance is due to him having so much power and control. There are not many things that can be a threat to him, as you have seen and will see in the future. (I might have gone a bit overboard...)
I'm not a child and also know that everyone is entitled to their opinion. So if you are unhappy, please write a comment on how you would change certain things instead of just ranting.
