Capítulo 28: Taking the leadership and...
After going into the headquarters, i searched for the 'Round Table' as they call it, the place where every great decision is voted.
Walking ahead, i can see a great double door with the Empire logo engraved on it
I can hear discussion inside, i knock a few times to make my presence know and the noise stops
"Come in" said a deep voice from inside
I open the double door and a giant round table with many people surrounding it is inside
Most of the people seated here are either retired or active generals, high politicians, or people from the chrurch. Right now the current pope is seated inside too. By the way, the religion on the Empire worships has nothing to do with the God on this world, the one Tanya calls being X, the empire fanatics just created a random god and started to worship it... a tipical thing in many places
But from what i can see, if the empire expands a little and time pass... like a hundred or so years, a new god is going to be born from their prayers, one who really cares about the Empire. But of course that Being X will kill him the moment its born or absorb it to gain divinity... if he is still alive by that time
I was immersed in thoughs about gods, pretty normal things, when someone called me
"General Wilson, it was said that you wanted return and say something important in here, now we are listening" Said one of the leaders of this country
'Mmm... what would make them submit to me in the shortest time posible? Im a god? Nah, its like using cheat codes. Im lost son of the first emperor? .... wtf? who would believe that. Im choosen by god... Thats... tempting, its not directly using cheat codes, just some holy magic and i can try being a choosen. Lets go with that' I thought very fast and started my road to emperor
"Im here to make an announcement, something that will change the whole empire and bring it to its utmost peak" i said, while trying to make them interested. And indeed they are
"Most of you must be questioning, how i was able to capture that much enemy territory in no time?"
"The answer, is something which is related to my friends from the chruch" I point at the pope, who now has a very confused face while everyone is gazing at him
"Excuse me... could you elaborate? I also dont remember meeting you before" The pope spoke, trying to find the truth
"I will explain, please be patient. As i was saying, the whole thing has to do with the very god who we believes in!"
Some people gasp while the pope stands up in a hurry, a little excited of finding a trace of god
"Can you explain it more please?!" The pope almost shouted his line. He isnt getting mad because of what i said, as he thinks a respected general would not say something like that without care
"Let me show you, what i gained from god himself!" I shout and a holy glow starts to emante from by body
Beside my, a giant figure of a man in armor holding a hammer takes form. I found that this is the image from god they has, as many statues has been made
{Dont panic and also dont speak. Wear you armor} i quickly sent a message
Suddendly, from the holy glow starts to come a figure
Its Ainz who is in his armor
He was thinking of how to make his new magic when a message came from Rob. He hastly put his armor and waited... 2 seconds after, he was teleported here
"This golem was gifted by god after lending me his powers, he told me to destroy our enemies with this creation of his" I keep saying while the whole room is filled with gasps and shocked faces... except for the pope, he is having a seizure from happines and almost foaming from the mouth... while calling 'God.. its god!'... poor him... or lucky him?
"I was granted this golem along with the power from god, it was his approval and also his test for us, we must destroy our enemies!" I spoke like a true fanatic... i even believe myself in this

While i was about to continue, a sudden pope crawling on the floor grabbed my leg
He looks up at me in the face... or not, he is looking at the giant man behind me, the very image of their god
Then he looks at me and starts to pray. I suddendly got a genius idea
"God told me that the pope of his chrurch cant be a weak old man. Take this, its a gift from god" I casts {blessing} on him, which just adds a little of every stat possible, gives more courage and also makes you shine in holy glow... all of this can be casted by any decent holy mage. The only thing is that i made the buff permanent
The pope starts to visible change. His white hair has a little of black on it, his weak body feels stronger and finally a holy glow is coming from him, of course his shine is lower than mine
"Thank you god, i will not dissapoint you and give my utmost support to your choosen one" The pope said after feeling his body and the changes in it
By the way, the surrounding generals and polticians are very shocked, they are now whispering between themselves while gazing at me and the pope
While some poeple has a little hesitation on giving me autority, most of them want to see the Empire being a real empire, conquering many countries. Most of the generals are more logical, seeing my holy power as a way to win many battles
I suddendly became supported by the entire Chrurch, which is a great power in the Empire. Also i got supported by many generals after showing my 'godly' might
I got almost two thirds of the entire round table on my side, the other one thrid is just neutral, as there is no hostile people to me. The Empire is very in their love for the country, i think being in constant war helps with that

Its been a month since i became 'The choosen one' as im called by the pope and the chrurch. They are actively advertising me to gather more people to their faith
In this month, i made many changes, from the weapons, to war plans, i even changes some people in charge on the fronts
I sent some more peopel to the north, as they need more people to defend
To the other 3 sides, east, west and south, i made many strategies based on Ainz, who has been runing around fighting a lot... which i think he enjoys, after all he is trying to create his own Death magic path.... how better than to be death himself on the battlefield?
How i made such complex strategies? Simple, i found every general in the Empire and gathered them. after spending more than a week of constant planning, we made a great strategy to conquer almost half of each nearby country. Most critical points are made by Ainz, who is like an unstoppable war god, it made the whole thing easier.
By now we have captured a base from every country, which are 3 in total
i think in like... ten years at most the Empire will be expading by half. As for the post war and changing people religion, ideologies and other things like that? leave them to the experts, im busy conquering the world
By the way, our little protagonist Tanya made many shocking things while studing on the college, she went to the front as part of his studies and made a lot of contributions, gaining the rank of Major. if she continues to rise in ranks like that, i think that in 2 or 3 years she will become a general
i was on my office in the capital, all of this made and arranged by our friend and neighbor, the pope... who, for someone on his eighties, is very active in bringing the people together under a faith... must been the blessing effect, if not he would be sleeping and just attending to the round table

2 months later
After the first change, the surrounding countries finally made an official alliance, conformed by the 4 countries surrounding the empire and some minor ones who are feeling threatened by us
This put a brake on the Empire's expansion, as the defenses got tigher and stronger... but only for places where Ainz is not there
Because right now, Ainz is literally charing ahead while being bombarded by cannons
He just ignores them and charges, nearing their camp
"Its the black armored demon! RUN!" A soldier shouted, throw his weapon and ran like his life depens on it... because it does
In the 3 months of war, Ainz made a name for himself... basically, every battle he fights ends with many dying without doing anything to him
So right now the soldiers just run after seeing him, as nothing could stop him, not even cannons
This made the battles with him easier... but thats only for battles with him, on the other points, the battles are getting harder and harder. The Empire expansion has only progressed by 3 more bases in those 2 months.
We cant forget our protagonist Tanya, who by now has a very elite unit who she trained herself
She is still a major but a very famous one by this time. I think one or two more battles and she will ascend one more time
Also, after insisting... and insisting... and insisting the pope who was on the verge of crying after saying that i wanted to go to the front, i finally made him relent, so on the 2 month of the war i also went to the front, not as a frontile soldier, but as a buffer. Im like a holy priest, casting buff after buff for our soldiers before the battle
I am in the capital right now, reviewing our plans with the generals, because although the alliance of many countries was expected, we did not expect so much resistance.
Not on part of the conquered civilians, as they got into the Empire very fast... after all, they also wants to live a good life. As the loser, especially on this time where war was everywhere, people changed sides very easly
After a very long meeting, i returned to my office, thinking of the whole situation
'If its like this, then 15 instead of 10 years are needed.... i hope nothing goes wro- NO, thats a fucking flag! even if im thinking and not speaking loud, its a freaking flag!' i madly thought while activating my godly eyes
After gazing around, i starts to see the fate and the cause/effect of the Empire... it started to change the moment i said those words. if before the fate of the Empire was a bright straight line... after setting that flag the fate its now a wavy line with many ups and downs, also the line brightness sometimes turns off and then turns on again
".... .... .... Really? just because of some words?" after being spechless for a while i spoke out the only thing in my mind
'Could it be because i have the most authority? if some random people say that nothing will change, but if the 'leader' of the country say it... fuck fate. With great power comes great responsibilit, i guess' i tought while gazing at the clouds
*sigh*
"I guess it was going too well for the Empire" I say out loud and sits, waiting for the news about a fail attack, an ambush... basically anything bad
The door to my office suddenly opens
"Sir! Urgent news!"
'... that was fast' I thought while gazing at the panicking man
'Lets see whats the fate changing thing for the Empire'
"Its like this..." the soldier starts to speak
After finishing, he waits for my orders
"What?" I said while rising a brow. This was very unexpected, i think its time to change the plan
"Call the generals, we need to change the strategy" I said while walking to the meeting room, leaving the call to the now calm soldier
"Yes sir!" He salutes and goes to do his things
I go to the meeting room to wait for the others.
"i dont want to use cheats (my powers) to win this, i still think we can win with a good plan" After saying that to myself, I closed my eyes while waiting for the others
