Capítulo 160: The Avengers Against the Apocalypse 4
The only hope for Apocalypse was if Magneto could win his fight. Apocalypse believed that Magneto could handle several of the Avengers, and if he could prepare his defense, he could mess with the magnetic poles of the Earth while defending himself.
Apocalypse knew that Jack was the strongest of the Avengers and that they were holding back in this fight. This shocked him, as he had the most powerful mutants on his side. Only Jean, Iceman, and Rogue, the most powerful mutants, were not in this fight.
But Apocalypse wasn't even sure if the Avengers would be defeated if these three mutants were on their side. After all, Jack hadn't even started fighting yet. Apocalypse knew that if he was defeated, the other fights would also end, and he would be forced to sleep since he was immortal.
Jack also wanted to wait and see how Wanda would deal with Magneto. She was much more powerful than in the MCU movies, but Magneto was a bad opponent for Wanda. Magneto's shields could stop chaos magic, and his helmet would prevent Wanda from messing with his mind.
Magneto was much more experienced than Wanda in controlling his powers. His powers had only been amplified, and it would be difficult to control their potency. But since Magneto wanted to kill Wanda, he didn't need to control the potency of his powers.
Wanda was much more powerful than Magneto, but besides using small tricks to control chaos magic, she didn't try to use it in many fights. Wanda knew that chaos magic was dangerous, both for common attacks and for changing reality.
Wanda's attacks were intense, and Jack's punches could reach thousands of tons, but Wanda's magic was like small, concentrated nuclear explosions if she used all her power.
Magneto could feel that if he was like before, maybe he would be defeated. But he was much more powerful now. Magneto could feel that even that attack from Jack that had desperate him in the past could be easily defended now.
Magneto didn't need to fully concentrate on defense. He was also using the metals from the ground to create weapons and throw them at Wanda with great power, but Wanda, like Magneto, could easily defend herself with her telekinetic shield.
The fight continued intensely, but Jack realized that Magneto couldn't defeat Wanda, and Wanda was only thinking about how she could defeat Magneto since attacking with magic wasn't working.
Jack looked at Thor's fight and saw that his plan seemed to be working, Thor was creating lightning much faster and Storm couldn't take control of the lightning Thor created anymore.
So Storm had to manipulate the weather to create storms, Storm attacked Thor with several lightning bolts but saw that his resistance to electricity seemed to be increasing, just as Jack thought, Thor's power was awakening.
Storm realized this and started using tornadoes and snowstorms to try to hurt and freeze Thor, but for someone who faced the cold of Jotunheim while fighting the ice giants, Thor could endure this cold.
The fight lasted longer than expected, but Thor hit Storm with some lightning bolts, and she had a normal human body and was injured and weakened. Jack felt that after this fight, he could help Thor awaken his powers more.
"I said, you can't defeat the god of thunder, but you were a good opponent, you have my respect," Thor said.
Storm, who was being controlled, couldn't talk to Thor, but she was upset about losing and being so hurt while being controlled by Apocalypse. Nonetheless, Storm recognized that Thor was the god of thunder.
So few fights were still going on, but the Avengers had a total advantage in these fights, only Jack's fight against Apocalypse and Wanda's fight against Magneto remained. Magneto didn't seem to be able to defeat Wanda, but Wanda also couldn't defeat Magneto.
"It's useless, your powers aren't strong enough to break my defense, we may have lost this time, but you and the Avengers won't be able to defeat me," Magneto said.
"Don't be so sure about that, Magneto, I haven't used all my powers yet," Wanda said.
Wanda, who had talked to Jack before the fight, began to use chaos magic to manipulate reality. She increased her attack powers and made them resistant to magnetism while decreasing Magneto's powers.
After doing so, Wanda managed to break Magneto's defense and hurt his arm. She smiled while Magneto was shocked, feeling that his powers had diminished. However, it shouldn't have been possible for Wanda to break his defenses.
Magneto gathered the metals he had used to attack Wanda and began to raise several defenses around him. Wanda wanted to use her abilities to make the metal disappear, but if she did, she would harm other heroes such as Iron Man, War Machine, and Falcon.
Thus, Wanda continued to attack. With the various metal barriers, Magneto managed to prevent Wanda from hurting him further. But Magneto no longer underestimated Wanda's powers and attacked more seriously.
Jack was happy with Wanda's improvement. It was difficult for her to defeat Magneto because she had to control her powers to avoid harming the other Avengers. If it were other villains, Wanda would win easily.
Jack didn't want to wait anymore and thought it was time to defeat Apocalypse. After all, no one knew if something unexpected could happen and interfere with his fight. So, Jack advanced to attack Apocalypse.
En Sabah Nur didn't expect Jack to attack before the other fights ended, but he couldn't run away before trying to fight. He hoped he could defeat Jack and then help the other mutants win.
"Battle Sage, I don't understand why powerful heroes like you want to keep protecting the weak. This world belongs to the strong, and the weak must die to stop consuming more resources from this world. Otherwise, Earth may soon end," said En Sabah Nur.
"I didn't know you were an environmentalist, En Sabah Nur. Is that why you want to kill billions of weak humans? To protect the environment? Don't lie, you just want to rule this world, not let the strong lead," said Jack.
"That's the natural evolution of things, Battle Sage. Everything ends someday. If it's not to end, we have to evolve. The weak who cannot evolve must be eliminated," said En Sabah Nur.
