"Bruce, do you remember what I told you the first time I invited you to come here? That you're a brilliant scientist and it's a shame you have to live hiding in fear of hurting others and not being able to do research," said Jack.
"Now I still think it's a shame that you can't be free to leave this lab and live a normal life without worrying about turning into the Hulk. If you can control the Hulk, you can become a hero loved by all and still be able to live your normal life and do research," said Jack.
Bruce sat down and began to think about what Jack was saying. Now Jack had become his best friend and the person he trusted the most. He took him out of a really miserable life and helped him live a much more comfortable life, a dream compared to what it was before.
But Bruce knew that the fear of the Hulk never went away, even in that calm environment where it was impossible for anyone to irritate him, Bruce could feel that the Hulk was inside him wanting to come out, and that didn't let him sleep well at night.
If there was even a remote possibility of him being able to control the Hulk and thus be able to live a life without fear, Bruce would definitely do everything he could to achieve that, even if he had to suffer for years.
"Okay, Jack, I trust you. If you say it's possible for me to control the Hulk, I'll believe you. I hope that when I transform, you can control me before I kill some people because if that happens, I give up," said Bruce.
"Don't worry, Bruce, I can help you control the Hulk, and even if you transform, I can guarantee that you won't kill anyone," Jack said with a smile.
"Then it's settled, we can start," said Bruce.
"Okay, then pack your things in a suitcase because we'll have to leave here to start the training. Don't worry, you won't hurt anyone," said Jack.
Soon Bruce packed his bags and was ready to start training. Jack stored Bruce's luggage in his own storage space and then opened a portal to the planet where Algrim was, but on the other side of the planet.
This planet had an atmosphere similar to Earth, but like Morag, it was an abandoned planet, so it was perfect for letting the Hulk transform and get as angry as he wanted. Bruce looked around and felt like he wasn't on Earth anymore.
"Are we not on Earth anymore?" Bruce asked.
"Yes, we are on a distant planet. Here, you won't be able to hurt anyone even if you transform into the Hulk," Jack said, laughing.
"If I didn't trust you, I'd think you were planning to leave me on this planet far from Earth so I wouldn't be a danger anymore," Bruce said.
"I wouldn't do that. I could leave you in the laboratory instead of doing this. We're here for training. It's going to be difficult and time-consuming, but the most important thing is your trust, Bruce. You have to accept the Hulk for this training to begin," Jack said.
"Accept the Hulk? What do you mean?" Bruce asked.
"Look, Bruce, the Hulk can be two things: a part of your soul that separated from you, or another personality. Either way, when you get angry, that soul or personality that absorbed gamma radiation transforms you into the Hulk," Jack said.
"You've probably heard this before, but the Hulk saved your life. In addition to being your side when you get angry, he also saves your life when someone attacks your human form or when you try to kill yourself," Jack said.
Bruce just listened to what Jack was saying and began to think about it without getting angry. Bruce knew that Jack was right, that the Hulk always appeared when he was in danger as if to protect him.
But as for the Hulk saving him from gamma radiation, Bruce wasn't sure about that. He knew he wasn't the only one exposed to gamma radiation who survived and became a monster, but he remembered that some just died.
"Once you can control yourself even after being angry and accept that the Hulk is a part of you, then you can control your Hulk form, and it will be Bruce Banner in the Hulk's body, with muscles and a brain," said Jack.
"Wait! Do you want me to continue being myself but in the body of the Hulk? I thought I could control my anger and not be the Hulk anymore!" said Bruce, starting to get angry.
"Easy, Bruce, this is just the beginning. Later on, you can continue and make sure the Hulk doesn't appear every time you get angry, negotiating with him. Once in a while, you can become the Hulk and let him free for a day," said Jack.
Hearing this, Bruce calmed down. He knew he had to start somewhere and not lose control of his mind every time he got angry. Even if he turned into the Hulk, it would certainly be better than before.
"I don't know if this is possible, Jack. When I get angry, another consciousness takes over. I don't think I can control it," said Bruce, still afraid.
Jack knew this well too. The Bruce in the movies managed to accept and control the Hulk only after trying for over 15 years, and even the movie's Bruce still feared he might lose control again someday.
"Bruce, I trust you, so I'll show you a secret that I've never shown anyone. I know some things from the future. Tony and other Avengers already suspect this, but I don't plan on revealing it," said Jack.
"The reason is that the future I see can always be changed and is just something like what could happen. Besides, most of the future I see is in situations where I didn't exist," said Jack.
"I knew that the Battle of New York, the attack on Tony Stark, and other things could happen, and I know of more things that can happen in the future," said Jack.
Bruce didn't know what to say with Jack's revelation. He knew Jack wasn't lying, and he also knew Jack was a wizard. So if even the Avengers believed it and that he had really discovered some important things, then it was probably true.
