Capítulo 39: Stark Expo 4
After the lively speech, Tony introduced his father and showed a video of the 1974 Stark Expo with Howard speaking. "How was my opening presentation? I think it would have been better if Iron Man came along," joked Tony.
"It would be cool, but your presentation was good. Now that you're in New York, I wanted to show you the new laboratory that I bought here. If you need to use it, you can," said Jack to Tony.
"You bought a laboratory? That could be very useful for you if you decide to create something. Since you bought it, I think you must have some plans," said Tony.
"I do have a plan. I have a friend who is a genius in the fields of biology, chemistry, and physics. He's wasting his talent working as a photographer, so I bought this laboratory. I also know some talented people who are unemployed," said Jack.
"If you say he's a genius, I want to meet him in the future. Tomorrow, we'll see this factory. Today, we'll all go out to dinner. I know a great restaurant here in New York," said Tony, laughing.
In the last month, Jack had returned to fighting against criminals in New York to help Spider-Man. He had to keep earning FP to get stronger and face more difficult fights. If Jack didn't show up, the villains might think Spider-Man was alone and decide to attack again.
Jack was still waiting to try if he could earn FP even if his clone using the Iron Man armor fought against the bandits. He thought this wouldn't be a problem, but perhaps it wouldn't be allowed.
So now that his mansion in Malibu was ready and the armor that Tony gave him was stored there, Jack sat down with Tony for dinner and ordered one of his prepared clones to use the armor to fight against the bandits.
After all, Jack had to take advantage of the fact that Tony was in New York, as Iron Man was known as Iron Man's bodyguard, so it wouldn't be strange for him to go and fight against the bandits while Tony was in New York.
Thus, Jack could also take the opportunity to diminish the doubts that Tony and he was Iron Man that could arise. After today, Jack's clone would fight against bandits every day if he could earn FP.
In the last month, Jack had ordered his clones to stop studying and instead learn how to use the Iron Man armor. Even with J.A.R.V.I.S.'s help, it was difficult for Jack's clones to control the armor.
Fortunately, even though his clones had less than 10% of his physical strength and speed, they had almost all the agility and speed of thought that Jack had, which was several times greater than that of a normal human.
So with Jack training using his 10 clones, it was like learning 10 times faster. Since Jack's clones already had quick thinking and agility, they could use the armor well.
Even so, Jack was surprised to see that Tony still controlled the armor better than his clones who trained every day for a month and had the equivalent experience of 10 months of training.
It seemed that Tony had several talents beyond his genius. He may have had a thought several times faster than a normal human, so he could make calculations and think of strategies in addition to using the armor.
So soon one of his clones, with the help of J.A.R.V.I.S., could also locate the criminals through the police radio and by using Stark Industries' satellites.
The criminals who continued to fight in New York were very brave, knowing that besides the police, they could also encounter Spider-Man, Jack, and other heroes, but they didn't expect Iron Man to come and arrest them.
Jack was having wine with Tony and Pepper, they were watching a video from a real-time recording transmitted by the armor that Jack's clone was wearing.
"I never thought of using my armor to face common criminals, I created it to face terrorists, armies, and other beings with superpowers," Tony said as he looked at the recording.
"You always think big, Tony, but these kinds of criminals can also end up killing ordinary people, so arresting them is also a good deed," said Pepper.
"Tony is right, he's Iron Man, so he doesn't have time to face common criminals, he just has to act to save the American people or the world from some terrorist threat," said Jack.
"Yes, but now Iron Man will become an even more beloved hero by the American people if you continue to use your clone to fight the criminals," said Tony.
Jack looked at his bracelet and saw that his FP had increased, just like when he personally arrested the criminals, so Jack knew that his clones could be used to gain more FP.
If Jack didn't know that there were fewer criminals in other cities, he could use his other clones to confront them, but Jack didn't think it was necessary because he could interfere with Tony and make people think that he could also be one of the Iron Men.
"You've learned to control the armor well in the last month, your clone has no problem dodging attacks, and flying in small places," Tony said, watching Jack's clone's abilities to use the armor.
"I spent the last month training with my 10 clones, which in experience means almost 10 months of training, yet my clones still fight much worse than you," Jack said.
"That's normal, I created the armor and I designed it to make it easier for me to use, so these armors that your clones are wearing were designed for me to use, that's why it's impressive that they can fight so well," said Tony.
