Capítulo 38: Stark Expo 3
Pepper looked at Natalie sympathetically. Tony hadn't told Pepper that Natalie was actually a spy in disguise, so Pepper thought that Natalie liked Jack and wasn't jealous of her anymore.
Pepper had known from the beginning that Jack was an important hero who had saved New York and was popular. Now, after helping Tony, Jack was a popular hero, he was handsome, and he was also a billionaire.
Since Pepper was jealous of Natalie, she had tried to bring Jack closer to Natalie, and it seemed like the two of them liked each other. But Pepper had heard Tony say that it seemed like Natalie was being reserved, and that's why Jack hadn't even kissed her.
Now that Tony was cured, he said that Jack would return to New York and continue living there, and only come to Malibu secretly using magic. So Pepper knew that Natalie had missed the chance to get a great boyfriend.
"I'm sorry, Natalie, Jack finished the project he was doing with Tony. It was a great success, and soon Stark Industries will have new products thanks to Jack's help. But after finishing this project, he went back to living in New York. He's already gone," said Pepper.
Natasha was shocked to learn that Jack had gone back to New York. It was a lot of information she had received from Pepper. It seemed that contrary to what she and Fury thought, Jack really was helping Tony with a project.
It was rare for this to happen, but there were some geniuses who, even if they didn't attend university, knew more than those who did. From what Pepper said, this new project would make Stark Industries even richer and soon sell new products.
This explained why Jack had received 1 billion dollars from Tony, and also meant that Jack wasn't Iron Man. Of course, these were just deductions, but at the Stark Expo, they would confirm that it was correct.
Natasha found it strange that Jack hadn't said goodbye to her before leaving, but it made sense. After all, despite going out a few times, they hadn't even kissed, and Jack wouldn't be living in Malibu anymore, making it impossible for them to have any relationship.
Natasha left the room, and Pepper felt sorry for her, thinking that Natasha was sad about the end of their relationship. But in reality, Natasha had to leave to report to Fury, and she no longer had to investigate Jack, who had left Malibu.
As Natasha had thought, Fury told her that she no longer had to investigate Jack and had to continue investigating Stark Industries. When they found out what Tony and Jack had created for Stark Industries, they would know if it was worth a billion dollars.
Another month passed, and in that month, the Stark Expo, which had already begun preparation when Jack met Tony, was finally ready to begin.
In that month, Jack finally managed to complete the purchase of his laboratory in New York, and Tony's team finished the renovation of Jack's mansion in Malibu. Jack went to Malibu to see the completed renovation and to participate in the start of the Stark Expo.
Jack entered the mansion he had purchased with the furniture and was excited to see it again. Soon, Jack arrived at the laboratory, which was located in the basement of his house. The laboratory required fingerprint identification to open and was just like Tony's.
With this complicated security system, not even S.H.I.E.L.D. could invade his house secretly. He saw that there were mechanical arms to help him build things with precision, and even had mechanical arms to help his clones put on and take off the Iron Man armor.
"Welcome, Mr. Shaw," said J.A.R.V.I.S, who would also assist Jack in his laboratory. Jack didn't know that Tony had put a copy of J.A.R.V.I.S. in his laboratory, but it would certainly be useful.
"It's good to know that you'll be helping me in the future, J.A.R.V.I.S. It's a shame that I won't be using this laboratory as much as Tony," said Jack.
Jack soon realized that there was a secret elevator that Tony had told him about, so he activated the elevator and went down to a warehouse that could hold dozens of armor and many other things.
Jack had asked Tony to make a very secure warehouse, as he would only come here through a portal, so no one needed to know how to enter this warehouse.
Jack created a portal to his rented apartment in New York and brought his armors here to the basement, then he created another teleportation to inside his mansion.
As Jack could use these portals, he decided that he would live in secrecy in his mansion in Malibu. He could keep his clones in New York in case someone were to visit him.
Soon it was time for the Stark Expo to begin. Jack had already arrived and was in a room waiting for the start of the Stark Expo. He had seen Tony train, and unfortunately, he would not arrive as Iron Man like in the movie at the beginning of the Stark Expo.
In the same room as Jack, were Pepper Potts and Happy Hogan. Tony had not allowed Natasha to come, as he knew she was a spy and wanted minimal contact with her.
Jack had not called Natasha since he left Malibu because he could not get too close to her while she was undercover. So it was better that he left her only with a good impression of him from their conversations and dinner.
"Jack, Tony told me you bought a mansion in Malibu, it'll be good to have you as a neighbor here," Pepper said, laughing.
"Yes, I was convinced by Tony during my time at his house. Having a mansion is much better than living in an apartment, too bad I won't have much time to stay in Malibu," replied Jack.
Soon, a Stark Expo staff member called them to announce that Tony would be presenting and giving the opening speech of the Stark Expo. They left and went to the audience to watch Tony's presentation.
Soon, Tony entered the stage with several dancers behind him to liven up the presentation. Tony received many applause, even though he did not say he was Iron Man, he was still very popular. Tony started the speech he gave in the movie.
"Please, it's not about me. It's not about you. It's not even about us. It's about legacy. It's about what we choose to leave behind for future generations. And that's why for the next year and for the first time since 1974, the best and brightest men and women of nations and corporations the world over will pool their resources, and share their collective vision, to leave behind a brighter future. It's not about us. Therefore, what I'm saying, if I'm saying anything, is welcome back... to the Stark Expo!"
