"ROOAAAAAA, BROTHERS, IT'S TIME TO SHOW OUR WORTH! WE FINALLY HAVE A PLACE TO CALL HOME. WE CAN FINALLY LET OUR ROOTS SPREAD. YET A MERE 7 INVADERS ARE TRYING TO TAKE THAT AWAY FROM US." Holding the weak cat high up, he grabbed the cat's other arm and pulled.

"I WANT YOU 6 TO GIVE A SHOW TO OUR MASTER. SHOW HIM WHAT WE CAN DO" Tearing both of the cat's arms, Orlu let the armless cat fall to the floor as he raised a leg. And with a quick stomp, the 7 invaders turn into 6 invaders.

Pointing at two of his strongest croc warriors, a dark green crocodile woman standing over 7'8" ft, named Thaxe, the one that made Alex's brain go awooga. Held a large Halberd that was just a bit taller than her, slammed the shaft on the ground, and knelt towards Orlu.

Kneeling beside her was Yut, an albino crocodile man with an amazing physique. He held a massive mace and a crusader shield nearly his own height, 6'9". The iron shield bore a faded image on the front, though the paint had worn away too much to make it out.

Orlu pointed to two of his crocodile warriors, then turned and selected two more warriors from both the snake and lizard men standing behind him, awaiting orders. Though he typically led only his crocodile warriors into battle, this time he wanted to showcase the strength of his people to his master.

"Jegno, Juzu, step forward." Orlu called out to the surprise twin lizard brothers, who quickly moved through the crowd and knelt beside the crocodile warriors. Nearly identical in appearance, both dark-brown brothers stood at 5'10". Jegno, the oldest by two minutes, wielded a thin but sturdy bone staff, jagged at both ends, while his younger brother, Juzu, carried a green longbow equipped with poison-tipped broadhead arrows.

While they were still only 16 years old, Orlu chose them due to how prodigious they were in fighting. Jegno and Juzu, at the age of 13, manage to pass the trial of adulthood all by themselves. And what's this trial? Well, it's different each time, but it involves hunting something very dangerous.

And somehow, they manage to kill a minotaur with very little damage to themselves. Though the brothers wouldn't tell anyone how they managed to kill the minotaur, Orlu knew, as he watched the whole thing in secret. He worried for them as he still thought they were too young, so he secretly followed them.

As they were still small and nimble, the brothers used that to their advantage. Jegno directly confronted the minotaur, but never attacked it, as he was too weak to do any real damage. But by drawing the minotaur agro, he used his nimbleness and small size to dodge almost every attack it did while his brother pelted it from afar. For a whole hour, they manage to greatly tire out the minotaur as Juzu's poisoned arrows finally start to set in. Soon, the beast fell and were now considered adults.

Since they managed to kill and pass the trial, both the brother's weapons of choice had pieces of the minotaur incorporated in them. The brothers even had the minotaur skull in their home, hanging above their door.

Anyway, as both brothers nervously knelt towards their Chief, Orlu called out another 2 names. Slithering through the crowd like an absolute tank, with a smaller passenger wrapped around his chest.

A husband and wife cut through the crowd and bowed to Orlu. Bharnisk, who was dark green and spanned 16 feet, wielded a massive two-handed flanged mace. His bright blue wife, Derah, had a heavy greatsword and somehow managed the massive sword with ease at 9 feet in length.

Looking proudly at his chosen warriors, Orlu looked towards Alex and knelt.

"Master, These are the warriors that I want to fight. They're some of my best warriors, so please grant me the wish of allowing them to fight." Earnestly asking, Orlu really wanted to show Alex what his people could do. He wanted to show how his people fought and to prove they were worthy of protecting his home.

Though confused at first, Alex just shook his head and sighed. "Orlu, you don't need to ask me for permission to do anything. I trust your judgment. But to answer your question, it's a yes."

Looking at Orlu's chosen warriors, Alex was still surprised that there were actual, breathing, living lizard men kneeling to him. A month ago, he was butt fucking his friends on COD, but now, there were jacked-up reptiles on steroids right in front of him. During some moments of peace, when he was just relaxing and chilling, he wondered when he was going to wake up from this surreal dream.

Yet that moment never came. Although there were moments when he missed his sister and best friend, he was glad that he had the chance to come here and become, a rock. But Alex just hoped that both Erina and Erick were safe and sound back on Earth.

Shaking his head some of those depressing thoughts out his head, Alex cleared his throat and gave a little speech.

"As you all know, I'm your 'master'. I brought your entire tribe here, along with this land built just for you. In exchange for giving you a home, a place to grow and prosper, I ask that you protect my home from invaders. It will be challenging, and there will be times when the enemy may seem too strong for any of you. But no matter what, fight first to protect your people. Fight to keep your homes and families safe from harm. Just remember, you're not the only one fighting to keep me safe."

"Now go. Kill the bastards that dare to invade my home. Make them regret ever coming here" With that final order, the 6 warriors gave a hearty roar and ran into the dense forest. Following them were Absol and Fluffles. Fluffles was the name Kali chose for the panther.

Opening up his [Dungeon Creation], the map of the entire first floor appeared in front of Alex as 8 green figures quickly rushed towards 6 red figures on his map.

— Aiwin POV

"Hey, do you think something happened to Kenton? He's been gone longer than usual."

I glanced over my shoulder to see Rab fidgeting nervously. At first, I brushed it off. This was Rab, after all, fearless and steady as ever. But as I looked closer, I noticed a hint of fear in his eyes. His breathing was uneven, and sweat covered his brow.

Was… was he… actually scared? Does he know something we didn't? I'd never seen him act this way before… something wrong.

Grabbing Rab's arm, I pulled him aside, away from the others and into the cover of some nearby trees.

"Talk to me. What's got you so on edge? Even that run-in with the griffin didn't shake you like this." I said. Rab's open unease was starting to make everyone anxious, and as team captain, I couldn't let doubt spread through my team, especially here in a dimensional dungeon.

As I asked, I saw Rab hesitate, but after a reassuring nod from me, he spoke. "Ever since we got here, my instincts have been telling me to run. I keep feeling like we're being watched… but nothing's happened, and there's even no sound from the marsh… not even a rustle."

Rab's eyes wouldn't settle, darting around as if searching for something. But I trusted him, years of working together had built that bond. When Rab's instincts warned him something was wrong, I knew better than to ignore it.

Drawing mana from my core into my hands, I swiftly made a detection spell, setting its range to be massive. It cost a significant chunk of my mana, but it was worth it, I sensed 7 entities caught within its reach. Watching us from the forest.

With two short but sharp whistles, everyone swiftly moved into formation, instinctively preparing for battle. Years of working together had made everyone quick to fall into their roles. Rab and I rushed back to our group, expecting the creatures in the forest to attack immediately, but they held their ground, making no move to pursue us.

"They're smart, so I want everyone on high alert. I sensed 7 in the forest, but keep watch for more. They're planning something." Years of experience told me these were no mindless creatures, they were strategizing. I guessed they might be setting up a trap, but my thought was cut short as an arrow grazed my cheek.

Warm blood trickled down my cheek as more arrows flew from the forest. "Barrier!" I called out, and a blue dome large enough to shield everyone sprang up around us. With my specialization in defensive magic, creating a mana barrier was second nature.

Watching as several more arrows bounced harmlessly off my barrier, I focused on maintaining it while Nera began chanting a spell over the group.

"Oh, Great Goddess of Plants and Fertility, your humble servant calls upon you. Hear my prayer and lend us your strength. Fortify our hearts with courage. Sharpen our minds with wisdom. And strengthen our body with resilience."

As Nera finished her chant, a wave of strength surged through me, and the flow of mana within me settled into a calm, steady rhythm. A cooling sensation spread through my mind, melting away my worries and bringing a focused clarity. With a clear mind and some more confidence, I began to plan our next move.
