/"Vovo will like him,/" Raven Toussaint eventually said, his dark, dark eyes sharp and withholding. They were identical in almost every way, minus the tragic dress sense and demented mentality, and as his brother stood there, tall and proud, Angel felt restless.

This meant something to him, it dawned on him. Raven's approval . . . it meant everything.

Which put a lot of things into perspective; clearly his infatuation with Lucien burrowed deeper than he'd first thought.

Almost on instinct, his eyes bounced across the narrow kitchen, lingering on the hatch in the wall that opened out into the lounge. The tops of Ronan and Lucien's heads were just about visible from above the couch line. They were giggling quietly, which was always a concern when Ronan was involved, but he'd come to learn Lucien was a very good boy. He didn't stray from the straight and narrow.

Not even beneath Ronan's terrible influence.
