Capítulo 29: Violence

Leila’s Pov

"Thank you for coming! Please come again!" Tisha waved at the last customer goodbye. I watched her close the door and roll down the blinds.

When she turned to me, her smile immediately disappeared and was replaced by a frown. She narrowed her gaze at me.

Grabbing my hand, she pulled me to the nearest table and dragged me to sit.

Mason sat across from me, his brows raised while waiting for Tisha to say her piece.

"Are you alright?" she asked, her eyes studying me.

I looked from her to Mason.

“You guys are overreacting.” I took a deep breath and rolled my eyes, staring at the ceiling. “I’m just glad we made it through this day. There were a few mishaps, but we managed.”

I lowered my gaze, looking at the two of them.

“And all of this wouldn’t have been possible without your help.”
