More shouting and yelling came from the other side of the phone. Jake rolled his eyes. Agh, whatever. If this dunce thought he could get the girl by showing off his daughter, then fine. He will let him do whatever he wants and see what happened.

Hanging up the phone, Jake closed all the tubs and cans of paint and kneeled in front of Leah with a wet wipe on his hands. He took the brush from her and wiped her little face and then her tiny hands. /"Do you wanna go see daddy? Uncle Jake will take you to him./"

/"I want ice cream./"
