Veronica wakes from a troubled sleep to the sound of the hustle and bustle of Lusaka, and her thoughts immediately turn to what awaits them, and a shiver runs down her spine. Her cell rings, it’s Peggy informing her that Oom Hennie will be more than happy to see her, all she has to do is pop in around 11 am and he’ll make sure that he’s free. That gives her more than enough time for a hot shower and to get her thoughts together.

David and Adele visit the deeds office and obtain the required information with regards to the smallholding, and Piet puts out feelers amongst his staff regarding the whereabouts of a witch doctor, as well as asking them for any information that they might have, be it rumor or fact regarding any unexplained activity in the Kafue area.
