Capítulo 679: Britney’s past

Jasper was skeptical about her reply. He found it hard to believe that Britney hadn't directed any hurtful words at her.

Britney indeed suspected Jasper of sleeping with Ella and cursed her as well. Ella was clearly a target for her wrath. Given Britney's attitude, it was natural for her to humiliate the person she despised with harsh comments.

"Are you telling the truth?" Jasper asked skeptically. "She didn't say anything to you." He persisted, pressing Ella for answers, sensing there was more to the encounter.

Ella, sensing his disbelief, pulled back and bowed her head. She tried to dodge the subject, but Jasper persisted in questioning her.

"She asked a lot of questions," she admitted slowly. "About how I met you, how I got the job here, about my parents."

Jasper's expression remained unchanged, his eyes piercing as he searched hers. "And what did you tell her?" he asked.
