Having sneaked back into the house unnoticed, Elsa found herself standing in the shadows, concealed from view. Her heart pounded as she overheard her brother, Jasper, berating the guards. His voice was laden with anger and frustration, causing his face to flush crimson.
"How could she just vanish from the house?" Jasper's voice boomed. "I entrusted you with her safety and explicitly instructed you to keep an eye on her until I arrived here. Is that too much to ask?"
The guards, their heads hung low in deference, remained silent, only further stoking Jasper's ire. Elsa watched from her hidden vantage point, the memories of their heated argument from the day before fresh in her mind.
Jasper's presence and furious outburst sent Elsa into a wave of apprehension. She had not expected him to arrive that early. Now, she found herself confronted with the consequences of her secret outing.
