What was the need to pull up all this drama? What motivated him to stage Abigail's death? Did he believe he could keep it hidden forever?
Sebastian had shown enmity toward the Shermans without any apparent reason by launching that attack. Eddie could have been killed.
If he had talked to them clearly about Abigail, they could have helped him protect her. What had driven him to such extreme measures? Did he not know his daughter's feelings? How could he keep her away from her husband?
