Anastasia was taking a brief rest in her chamber after a long day of seeing patients in the OPD. She looked through her phone, hoping to find some text messages from Brad. She didn't find any, much to her disappointment.

This made her annoyed.

"How insensitive is he? He had forgotten about me as soon as he was released from the hospital. Humph…"

She put the phone down, determined not to contact him until he called her. However, her mind raced to him, and she wondered if he was okay.

She became restless.

In the next minute, she picked up the phone to dial his number when a nurse came in and informed her that the head doctor wanted to see her immediately.

She got up and made her way to the head doctor's office, wondering what could be so urgent.

When she arrived at his chamber, the head doctor looked at her with a stern expression. Anastasia's gut clenched as she pondered what she had done wrong.
