Abigail, on the other hand, rushed out of the bedroom and panted as she leaned against the balustrade. It was becoming increasingly difficult for her to ignore him. She knew the heat of his desire would melt her like a candle.
Her resolve to avoid him was dwindling.
What was she going to do?
'I need to get out of here quickly.'
She went to the kitchen and told the maid to deliver Christopher's breakfast to his bedroom before beginning to prepare lunch. She thought she would quickly finish cooking and leave.
The maid followed her order, then came to help her.
Several minutes later…
They were startled when they heard a shattering sound coming from the bedroom.
Abigail almost forgot to breathe because she was worried Christopher would be hurt. She dashed up to her bedroom and froze at the door.
The scene in front of her terrified her.
