The doctors continued to poke and prod me, trying to figure out what drug they had given me and how to reverse the effects.

John was almost as bad, standing next to them, watching their every move and asking a million questions. He was being great with the situation though, so I didn't want to push it.

The worst was the fact that Leonel sat on the bed next to me, not saying anything, but still burning a fire within me at the flick of a gaze.

Ever since we had uttered the words of acceptance of our mate bonds, there was an undeniable force pushing us toward each other. Of course, the doctors had showed up just in the nick of time and we weren’t able to solidify it physically.

Not that I would in my current state.

I sighed. Maybe that was my true curse, constantly being clam jammed when things started to get hot with men. At least it sure seemed like it lately.
