My blood was still boiling as I walked away from Clare while she was brushing herself off.

I had told myself that I was going to stay away from her, that I wasn't going to talk to her. But when I saw that Beta from the Iron Claw Pack trip her, I couldn't help but jump in.

Staying away from her was going to be harder than I thought.

She was sure to get hurt in training, and I didn't know how to handle that. Now that I publicly shamed the Beta boy, he would most likely hold a grudge against her. I'd have to make sure that they didn't fight in the future.

This would be so much easier if she had just agreed to be my Luna.

I sighed and picked up my pace running the perimeter. We were in my own territory now, so I felt more relaxed, but I didn't want to take any chances.

Especially with Clare here.
