Capítulo 27: Chapter 27: Stronger or Weaker

Clare POV

I jerked awake as a large wave made me roll toward the edge of the cot I was lying on. Instinctively, I rolled back toward the wall. My heart was beating faster though at the body’s natural reaction to falling.

There was a small porthole close to where I was, so I glanced out and saw that the sun was about to rise. I must have slept nearly twelve hours. As soon as we had gotten on the boat, I had found the barracks and crashed hard.

I looked around and noticed that most of the other cots were full now, and there was a light blanket draped over me that wasn't there before. It was probably John.

My stomach growled, reminding me that I skipped dinner, so I quietly crawled off the cot and made my way around the boat. It took me a few tries, but I finally found the small dining hall and was happy to see that they already had breakfast out.
