Capítulo 16: Chapter 16: I Want To Want You

Clare POV

“Do you want me?” I asked John, softly pressing my lips against his cheek.

John turned his face so that my lips pressed against his, and he captured my lips in a passionate kiss.

“I want you more than I can even say,” he murmured against me hoarsely.

I pulled out of his arms entirely. I wanted this. I wanted to mate with him. I wanted to do that more than I wanted to do anything else.

Once we mated, this stupid bond with Leonel would disappear and my life could go back to normal. I wouldn’t have anything to do with him any longer.

I would be entirely free of him.

I would be able to think of him, and clearly see him as the enemy that he was, to my pack and to myself. That was just what I needed.

“Let’s go somewhere safe,” I told him, my voice soft and suggestive.

I didn’t want to wait till the night. I didn’t want to wait for anything. And neither did John, it seemed. He took me by the hand and began leading me to our secret place.
