Capítulo 43: Chapter 43: Reunion

Desmond woke up the next morning to the rays of the sun coming in through his bedroom window. The light hitting him in the face had him turning over in his bed before sitting up. There was an ache in his head from the night before. The alcohol he had consumed after six months of going without left a pounding headache. While he rubbed the sleep from his eyes, he made a promise to himself that he wouldn’t be drinking again for a while.

After a stretch, he settled with the thought of getting his day started. Another day just going through the motions and getting used to his normal life again. Maybe Ryan was right to say that it was time for him to move on. Desmond wasn’t sure how much longer he could keep going on in the daze he had been living in. Everything had become foggy after he returned from The Echo for the last time and now he was getting tired of feeling the ache in his chest.
