Capítulo 96: The Jackass Researcher

Were now back at Site-17, in the shooting range area, Kreig was trying out different guns and firing them on the targets while he had his yellow bulbs removed as usual. Sophia was just doing her usual target practice with an M4 Carbine Rifle. Green on the other hand was trying out some long range attacks with his Stand Cerberus.

"Let's go with fire." Green said.

Igniting his hand on fire, Cerberus creates a baseball size fireball and does a baseball pitcher throw with the fireball on the target, hitting the target and burning it instantly, but it also causes a huge flame that is starting to engulf the surroundings.

"Shit!" Green cursed loudly and hurriedly ordered his Stand to put it out.

Following his words, Cerberus starts manipulating the flame that was covering the target and brings it to his hand and by doing so it extinguishes the fire that was surrounding the target.

[Just don't try to burn the entire range down man.] Kreig on his sane side told Green.

"I know, Kreig. I ain't dumb." Green noted what Kreig said, he looked back at Cerberus then at the target, "Ok let's go with ice now."

By his words, Cerberus created an ice javelin spear and threw it at one of the targets, hitting the target perfectly and piercing right through it.

"Now electricity."

Firing three electricity with both of his hands, the Stand hits three targets accurately.

"Even though I can't see your Stand Agent Green, I will say it's quite powerful. I mean manipulating three elements and morphing them is quite a power to have." Sophia said as she compliments

"But still I need to be careful with it a little bit. I'm still new to the whole Stand thing."

[You've been practicing for a week now. I think you're getting the hang of it. Even though we don't know how Stand works that much, Michelle was kind enough to explain to me what they are.]

"Well good for you then."

At that moment, the door to their right opened and it was Amelia.

"Good morning. What have you three been doing?" She asked.

"Target practice." Green and Sophia said.

"SOAKING WOUNDS!" Kreig, now on his psycho side, spoke.

"I'll just think that you said target practice." Amelia said to the purple Stand.

"So what brings you here?" Green asked.

"Just checking since I pretty much have no work to do currently."

[Well I'm done with target practice for today. I'm gonna go check on Carlos.] Sane Kreig said as he headed towards the exit.

"I'll come as well." Sophia followed as she and Kreig exited the shooting range.

Once they left, Green looked back at Amelia and said, "I'm pretty sure you came here just to check on me."

"....Well yes..... I'm still surprised the Foundation didn't give us Scp classifications."

"I told you things will work out. Aren't you happy?"

"Thomas. Walk with me." She requests him.

Agreeing her words, both of them leave the shooting range and start walking down the hallway.

While walking, Amelia says, "Green, have you noticed some of the staff giving us weird looks?"

"Well yeah. Why do you ask?"

"Ever since word spread about what happened at Site-19 and us gaining Stands, I think they see us as freaks." She said with a sad frown.

"Amelia, just don't let them get to you. We're still human and like Michelle said just because we have Stands doesn't make us different."

"I know but it doesn't feel great."

"Well, well. If it ain't the two Stand users themselves." A man's voice was heard in front of them.

The two halted their steps and looked forward to seeing a bald man, he had a gray beard and was wearing a lab coat like any other researcher.

"Dr. Logan. Good morning." Amelia greeted him with her original look and personality.

"Morning to you as well." The man named Dr. Logan greeted back, he then looked at Green and said, "And you must be Agent Green I presume."

"Yeah that's me."

"Do you want to discuss something, Dr. Logan?" Amelia asked.

"After the successful experiment with SCP-1562 with the help of Lawrence three days ago, nothing much other than the fact that two of you are given the freedom to leave the site whenever you want despite being Scps."

"Where are you going with this?" She asked with a deep frown. She expects something from the person in front of her.

Dr. Logan, Amelia knows he's one of the most callous site researchers in this site, and arguably worse than herself, callously sending D-class and agents to do tests that normally end with their deaths, and he doesn't feel remorse nor doesn't care to learn the names of the agents.

She often thinks if something bad would happen to him, she and many other staff members wouldn't care, he deserved every bit of it.

At that moment, Locked Away and Cerberus appear behind their users just out of curiosity.

"Knock." Locked Away waved at Cerberus, smiling.

"War." The Stand with three heads waved back, one of those three heads in the left seemed acting more animal like than the rest.

While the two Stands were secretly interacting with each other without their users' notice, Logan answered Amelia's question, "Where I'm going with this is that freaks should be in a cell and be called out when needed for experimentation. Something the Foundation is not doing with you two."

"It was the council's decision. You can't argue with them." Green rebuked.

"....You know, I notice the Council has grown soft ever since SCP-6601, "The Killer Queen" showed up, including you Dr. Buck." He pointed out.

"Excuse me?" Amelia frowned even more.

"I've been speaking to some of the staff who were transferred here from Site-19 and I heard that you were crying when SCP-6601 was electrocuted by SCP-6617, "Chilli Pepper", as if he was your son. May I remind you Dr. Buck they are freaks that deserve no love from us and you have forgotten the old Foundation policy of not showing sympathy to the unknown. And just because you can control your Stands doesn't change the fact that you're still Scps in the Foundation's eyes, even when you have the freedom to leave the sites whenever you want. This is the Foundation. So you better follow its rules.... Freaks of Nature."

Hearing his words, Jojo's shadowy eyes appeared on the two, thinking of doing something bad that will cause trouble.

But before they could do something, Logan continued with his spitting facts, "Don't get me wrong, you're still human, sure, but your Stands are still anomalies. At least in scientific terms. It wouldn't hurt to get some good results out of-"

Cutting Logan's words, Green ignited his fist on fire with a glare of anger.

"I think you should leave. Now."

"What are you gonna do, punch me in the face with that burning fist of yours because I'm spitting all of you with facts regarding both of you? Well you can just punch me right here and now and prove to everyone that you deserve to be in a cell and are dangerous to humanity." He spread his arms, looking at Green with no fear in his eyes, as if wanted him to do it.

Thinking for a moment, Green sighed in irritation and decided to calm himself down, causing the flames around his fist extinguished.

"Good choice. Well, I'll be taking my leave then." Logan said as he walked past them and headed down the hallway.

Sighing in annoyance, Green cursed, "That son of a-"

"Forget him, Thomas. Let's just head for the cafeteria." Amelia cuts him off and moves forward with her usual cold look.

"Knock. Knock." Her Stand grumbled,  wanting to really punch that guy in the face.

"Getting mad at him isn't gonna help us, Locked Away. It will make things worse."

"War. War." Green's Stand nodded in agreement.

Locked Away sighs, "Knock. Knock."

Green sighed as well, "Yeah, you're right. Let's just go."

As their Stand disappeared, the two kept walking down the hallway.

"You know, I might rip that beard off of him and shove it down his throat one day." Amelia said nonchalantly.

"And you said don't get mad." Green pointed out.

"I said not in front of Dr. Logan. Who says we can't get mad when he's not in front of us."

"Good point."

Meanwhile at Ward B located at the Infirmary, Dr. Tim and Molly were checking Carlos' eyes to see for any improvement or deterioration there. Turns out Carlos' eyeballs didn't get hit, but his eyelids did by the attacks of the Hanged Man and Albert back on the battle in Site-19. But still, they needed to check on him on a daily basis just to be sure about his health.

"So I heard Jack's family is working as part of the Foundation staff and are allowed to visit Jack on a daily basis every one hour?" The man named Dr. Tim asked.

"Yeah. Emma was able to get the O5's approval to allow them to work in the site and was able to get Mrs. Barton back in good health."

"At least that's good. Never expect the council to end like this, before I thought they were just cold bosses till these Stands appeared."

"I thought the same thing." Molly said, she then turned her attention back at Carlos, "I think his eyes are good. No deterioration whatsoever, Carlos, try to blink."

Following her words, Carlos blinks twice and he seemed to have no difficulty in doing so.

"Yep, his eyelids are functioning perfectly." Dr. Tim smiled.

The door behind them opens, revealing to be Kreig and Sophia.

"Hi guys. What have you been doing?" Molly asked.

"SHOWERING LEAD ON THE FAKES!"

""What?""

"We were doing target practice." Sophia translated his words.

""Oh.""

Approaching the two, Sophia and Kreig gently pat Carlos' head, which lets out a small growl.

[So how's his eyes?] Sane Kreig asked.

"Well they're alright. He can see well and doesn't seem to have any irritation while blinking."

"Well that's good." Sophia smiled, feeling relief from Molly's words.

[So where's Evan?] Sane Kreig asked again, referring to the man who became the World.

This time, Dr. Tim answered, "I think I saw him in the cafeteria when I went to get a cup of coffee."

"I'm pretty sure he's trying to get a girl as always." Sophia said with a deadpan face.

[And failing miserably.] Sane Kreig added.

"Yep." Molly nodded at them.
