Stefanie laughed. "I doubt that you would have the guts to do so anyway."

Melissa wanted to leave the mansion right after Tony had left because she couldn't stand Stefanie's food—her cooking skills were terrible. However, she barely walked out of the house when Stefanie dragged her back to the dining table and forced her to try the dishes.

Melissa had no choice but to sit down unwillingly. On the other hand, Jacob was enjoying the food that Stefanie prepared. His praises made her very happy. Sensing Stefanie's gaze on her, Melissa forced herself to pick up the cutlery and eat something.

Halfway through dinner, Jacob's phone rang. He stood up and he picked up the phone. "Jacob, are you at Pentagon right now?"

It was Isabelle who called him.

"Yes, Isabelle. Why?" He sounded a little nervous because he thought she was in some kind of trouble.
