"As Merle and his group went south, a group of people also returned to the Atlanta base. This group consisted of Airon and others, but not all the people who had originally gone out with them returned. Only Airon returned with a few soldiers.
In a meeting room in Atlanta, Airon sat in front of everyone, with various department heads on either side.
"Alright, I'm glad those of you who are free are here, so let me explain the situation," Airon commanded everyone's attention by slamming the table with force.
"Alright, this information is ultra-secret, and I want everyone to keep it confidential. A group of elite soldiers and I went to the north of Atlanta, where we found many military supplies. Moreover, there are many things that would take us months to bring back here. Therefore, I decided to leave a group behind to effectively protect that place."
"Why does your tone make me feel like things there are very important?" Sam asked with a voice full of mystery.
"Because you are correct, that place we found is not simple at all. It is a military base from which missiles can be launched," Airon looked at everyone's expressions and joked, "I don't want you to be surprised. I haven't finished telling you the most incredible part of all this yet."
Shane asked incredulously, "Is there something more impressive than that?"
As if answering the thoughts of many people directly, Airon continued, "It is true that there is a base with a terrifying arsenal of missiles, but there are also supplies stored there that were stockpiled during the war. In other words, as long as we can obtain more raw materials, we can have an extra factory for ammunition and weapons."
Just as Glenn was about to sigh, he saw Airon gently shaking his fingers again, and the smile on this man's face made everyone in the room feel that it wasn't completely true.
"Alright, don't keep us in suspense like this, or my blood pressure will drop. Hurry up and say it! Do you want me to feel so bad?"
"I talked to Tyler earlier, and Sam heard something about it too. These are points that are detailed on a map that we have in our possession... For those of you who saw the numerous supplies we brought in from outside, we found them thanks to that map."
"But you should know that those supplies are only a small part of what we can get. In other words, from now on, we shouldn't worry about weapons."
Guillermo arrived from the central base a few days ago to organize all the supplies and distribute them according to the needs of all the bases.
Seeing everyone in the room begin to discuss enthusiastically, Airon was in no hurry and just waited silently for their discussion to settle.
After about ten minutes, the crowd's conversations finally quieted down. These people finally remembered that they were still in a meeting, and all their eyes turned back to the podium.
"These are probably the most important things. By the way, there is one more thing I want to say." After organizing his words, Airon reserved his smile and his expression became a little more serious.
"You should know that I sent Merle Dixon on a special mission to Texas... I have a unique purpose in these decisions. As far as I and the experts know, there is no place more abundant in coal than Texas, and Merle went to check on an oil mine."
"Do we not have a power generation team now? Why are we still collecting fuel? Besides, we still have plenty of fuel in reserve."
Some people couldn't help but ask questions, some of them didn't understand the purpose of it.
But Airon's face showed a touch of nostalgia and his voice became a bit ethereal. "The last time our people entered Texas was just to kill people, and by Lee's words, there is a fairly discrete community in a school that possibly needs our help."
Upon hearing this, everyone fell silent. This was the first time they had heard Airon talk about what happened in Texas. No one bothered him. The meeting room was very quiet for a moment, except for Airon's not-so-loud voice.
"In that place, I lost many friends, we lost soldiers but you must remember that we indirectly saved our future. I want to be as prepared as possible so that we all have a good future, we must expand and clean our home of the undead."
"Airon, do you think it's prudent to move to Texas with that supposed enemy outside?"
"Is there any hidden meaning in your words? You must be one of the general supervisors of the police in our communities, but let me make something very clear, my friend, there cannot be two orders in the world."
Airon stood up and his expression turned cold: "We cannot mess up our future and I want you all to forget about that negotiation bullshit, understood?"
"Answering your fucking question without knowledge, we're going for coal and oil since our fuel is not infinite and time will deteriorate it, we're working on setting up a factory but that will take time."
The map behind where Airon was standing showed Atlanta, South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama in green, meaning they were already part of the S.C.T. territory and now Florida followed.
"Aron, once we take over Alabama completely and clean up that place, will we directly intervene in Florida?" Sam asked this question so that everyone would be attentive.
"We have a strong control in Tennessee with the secret base we took over, so we just have to wait and once we have Florida, we'll have open space to take control of the sea."
"We all support your decision, Airon," said Sam with a determined look.
"Good, for now I want you to look at the supply points we have in Alabama... As you can see, we came out winning a lot."
Everyone knew the importance of taking Alabama, not only for the survivors but also for the immense amount of supplies that could be rescued from that place. With this, crops expanded safely to open areas.
Airon, who saw this, knew it was sooner or later when the CRM would contact them or, worst case scenario, try to destroy them directly. But to be honest, it would be very foolish for the CRM to attack an organization equally as big as theirs.
"Alright, we'll talk about this later and I'll make the arrangements..."
In the end, Shane led the order and headed to Knoxville with a team of two hundred soldiers.
Once the missile base is under their control, they will have the capital to negotiate if they face the Commonwealth or the CRM.
He also considered relocating the most important personnel and turning that secret base into the central base of their organization.
Just transporting personnel and materials, weapons and equipment are a big problem, and the military base is not suitable for research, so he eventually abandoned this plan temporarily.
In the following days, Airon once again fell into the construction of the central base's infrastructure. There were still many things to be built. The energy system was still being built, and the huge buildings were very behind schedule due to the requirements.
After these big projects are completed, the next step is the details.
The world is not always as it seems, and Airon already has some ideas on how to solve the CRM problem.
