Capítulo 146: The Target Of The Cadogan Clan

Diana stood before the lifeless body of Mehana, her once formidable abilities now reduced to naught in the face of death. She knew that attempting to stop August's wind blade with her physical body alone would be tantamount to suicide. She shook her head in pity, raising her gaze to meet August's back turned to her.

"To think that the Bleeding Sorceress of the Cadogan Clan will die so miserably here. Moreover, she was killed by her own comrade. What if we leak this news to the public?" Diana asked. 

August said without turning to face her, his voice expressing his calmness and resoluteness. "I doubt that would generate the needed impact. The Cadogan Clan has always been known for their ruthlessness. They would not care for the death of a single elite apprentice sorcerer. Perhaps they would have been alarmed if the lifeless body here was Night Shade's."

After a period of silence, August spoke again.

"Diana, you saw him use evil sorceries, right?"
