My heart nearly leaps into my throat as my crotch instantly grows wet. I choke on air before speaking, “I’m sorry?” I ask as my stomach quivers, seeing a large look of desire behind his eyes.

“I’m inexplicably drawn to you, Senja. Everything about you makes me want to pin you against the wall and take you. I know I’m not what you want, and I’m not sure I want you as a mate. I can’t think past my sexual frustration to find the reason why this is. It’s infuriating. However, I can’t get you out of my head. I’ve even tried to sleep with other women, but I can’t push myself to do it. My only craving is for you.” He leans over to me. “I desire you Senja.”

My mouth dries as I suddenly have to squeeze my legs together. To cover it, I shift onto my knees. “Silas, it’s the mating season. You know this. It’ll be over soon.”
