Capítulo 45: Making a Cake

After dinner, Su Xiu and her little sister took a shower and went to bed. After a whole day of hard work, she was already exhausted and had to get up early to work in the fields the next day. Her little sister was still young, and even though children were spirited in the mornings, they needed to go to bed early at night.

Su Wen and Su Qing started to get busy.

Making cakes.

She would finish them by tonight and go to town to sell them in the morning.

"Can you do it, big sister?" Su Qing's heart was a mess. She was worried that she would be caught and that she would not do a good job. The villagers had never made cakes before. It was already good to make sponge cakes during the Chinese New Year and holidays. If she failed, it would be a waste of good stuff.

Su Qing never knew that her elder sister knew how to make it, but she did not dare to question her.
