Capítulo 47: Chapter 47: Road Trip

Nancy’s POV

The majority of today has been spent in my car. It’s finally Saturday, the day Carter moves to Chicago. I went to his dorm around seven this morning and helped pack both our cars.

I didn’t realize how long the trip is from Columbus to Chicago. News flash, it’s a seven-and-a-half-hour drive! The drive went quickly, though, listening to music, and Ronnie called to see how it was going.

Now I’m following Carter into his new apartment building. There are four three-story buildings that are placed to make a giant square in the middle of them. That’s where the parking lot is.

The buildings are all tan with brown roofs, and each apartment has a small balcony attached to it. I park next to Carter and get out, grabbing a couple of small boxes from my car along the way.

“Alright, lead the way,” I say mid-yawn.

Carter digs around in his pockets, looking for his key. Why it’s not attached to his key ring along with the rest of his keys, I don’t know.
