Selena's POV

"You are officially an adult now, sweetheart, and you know what is right and wrong. Just don't forget to be a responsible adult. Even if I am confident you are a good daughter, it is still my responsibility to remind you since I didn't want you to have regrets in your life." My dad said after the party ended and the guests started to leave the area.

"Thanks, Dad," I responded as I hugged my father.

I was still in a haze while holding hands with Skyler as we sat on top of the stairs on the grand staircase of their mansion after the party. Most of the guests left except our friends from the plantation; even Gwen went home with my father, and I didn't expect Dad to tell me I could stay with Sky.

"Thank you once again, Sky, I couldn't believe you will actually be here, it felt surreal," I responded and he squeezed my hand.

"I don't want to break my promise to you, Selena." He said and I looked at him with concern on my face.
