"I can do this… I can do this…" a low voice coming from a feminine-looking young man echoed inside a small cave.
Large beads of sweat could be seen covering his forehead while he stands in a horse stance while several weights are on his body. His Outer sect robe is already drenched in sweat as he stood unmoving while trying to maintain the stance.
This young fellow has been standing inside this cave for many hours now, and he has not rested even once.
Determination could be clearly seen in his eyes as she concentrated his mind.
"What a determined fellow…" an old voice echoed inside the cave as an old man opened his eyes and looks at the figure of Wu Hyuna.
"Alright, that's enough…" the old man said while shaking his head and showing a faint smile on his face.
"You've been doing well… If my conjecture is correct, you will be one of those mortals that would break their very own mortal coil once they surpass their limits…" he said in a low voice.
"I just hope that you can hold on until you've reached the 9th stage of this physique-enhancing technique…" the old man stood up and dusted his robe before leaving the cave.
Because of her outstanding physique, Elder Han, the grandfather of Han Joonho, decided to impart a dangerous and mysterious technique to Hyuna.
This technique could turn a mere mortal's body into a body-refining stage cultivator without using Qi.
But such a technique requires one to have the determination to go through the painful process.
A few days ago, Elder Han was approached by Elder Il because of his wife's nagging. Elder Han's family knew a process that can help a mortal train their body to the peak. It is a known secret, but no mortal would dare to undergo the hellish process due to its frightening training nature.
However, Wu Hyuna is determined to go through the process as she has already decided to accept this technique.
Il Kwan who is seeing the process showed a complicated emotion in his eyes.
He wanted his best friend to stop, but he also wanted his friend to continue as this technique could lengthen his life.
But the pain that he would be undergoing is something that no man could imagine.
Hyuna breathes heavily as she slumps onto the ground. She could feel her muscles screaming in pain and her bones creaking.
"You should follow me…" Elder Han said.
Il Kwan walked inside the cave and helped his friend to stand up.
On the side, Han Joonho showed a pained expression as he did not expect that Wu Jin would really want to undergo this process.
"Junior Jin… What if…" Han Joonho suddenly wanted to say something.
"Shut it… I don't want to hear that…" Hyuna said with a stubborn gaze as she walked limply while being helped by Il Kwan.
Once inside the courtyard of Elder Han's training area, they immediately noticed the boiling pot with different herbs.
"Hmm… Smells nice… What's for dinner grandfather…" Han Joonho asked with a delighted smile on his handsome face.
Elder Han showed a slight smile on his face as he looks at the three youths.
"Dump him in…" he said with a wave of his hand.
The three look at each other and then at the elder with disbelief in their eyes.
"I said… dumb him in…" he reiterate.
Hyuna was flabbergasted, she did not know why she needed to do this, but if she is dumped in that pot there is a tendency that the rune on her arm would be affected. If she is exposed at this time, then it would surely be trouble.
"Umm… Can I do it on my own…?" she asked.
"Can you guys go out… I… I don't want you guys to see this…" she said with a determined tone.
Elder Han nodded his head.
"Good! Good! You two come out with me…" he said with a wide smile on his face.
The two reluctantly followed, while Il Kwan almost did not want to leave but got dragged by Han Joonho.
"Hey, be obedient now… If not for Junior Jin, you will not be able to enter this place… just follow his wishes, okay?" Han Joonho reminded Il Kwan.
Il Kwan reluctantly left while gritting his teeth. The deep concern in his heart is very troubling that it is making him feel confused.
He suddenly looks at Han Joonho.
"Senior… Don't move…" he said as she suddenly walks closer.
The hair at the back of Han Joonho immediately stands on end as the face of Il Kwan drew closer.
He froze on the spot as he watches with wide eyes as Il Kwan's face drew closer and closer.
Even Elder Han froze as he watches this scene in horror.
When Il Kwan puckered his lips for a kiss, Han Joonho's face turned crimson.
"No… No… this is not the same…" Il Kwan suddenly muttered as he began musing on his own.
"I feel disgusted while doing this with Senior Han… but…" he began to pace back and forth.
Suddenly, a loud slap interrupted his musing as he felt a pang of pain at the back of his head.
"You… You… Are you looking to die?!" Han Joonho growled as he pointed his finger at Il Kwan.
His face is truly red in anger and shame as he glared at Il Kwan's stupid face.
But before the two could fight, they were stopped by a painful howl from outside the back of the courtyard where Wu Jin was.
"Damn it! What happened?!" Il Kwan and Han Joonho wanted to run to see what is happening.
"Oh, don't go there… You'll just interrupt him… Let him show his determination to change his fate…" Elder Han said.
"This is the only way to strengthen his physique to rival a body refinement stage cultivator. With this, his life would lengthen at least and he would not suffer dying of old age…" Elder Han said with a grin.
"Grandfather… you mean…"
"Haha… Yes, this is what those mortals wanted the most… Eternal youth…" he said with a grin.
"But… I thought that it was just a myth in the mortal world?" Il Kwan asked with a frown.
"Of course, it was a myth to them… How many mortals do you think has the physique that rivals that of your junior brother?"
The two young men did not say a word as they already knew how dedicated that junior brother of theirs was in his physique training.
Soon, the moaning and painful cries ended and they could feel a strange spirit Qi floating in the air creating a mist at the back of the courtyard.
As of right now, Hyuna is feeling a bit relaxed after suffering the pain in her bones and flesh. It felt like her flesh and bones were being gnawed and slowly turned into dust.
She could also feel the impurities in her body being excreted as her bones and flesh are being reconstructed making her a new person.
She discovered that she has returned to her female body.
In her mind, she wanted to return to being a man for fear that she would be discovered. But on the other hand, she did not want to waste this chance to continuously temper her body to the next level.
She quickly looks around and then grabbed the small metal blade within her robe and began etching some basic rune array on the corner of the boiling pot.
Soon, she was able to finish the rune array and a small dome covered the pot.
With this array in place, Hyuna heaves a sigh.
But before she could do anything she saw three figures walking towards her.
The mist still covers the top of the large pot and inside that pot is the figure of Hyuna with her eyes closed.
"Does it look like we are cooking him alive?" Han Joonho asked with a grin.
"Hehe… I wonder how this… junior brother… would taste like?" he added.
Il Kwan's forehead has veins popping out in annoyance.
He knew that Han Joonho is just jesting but he could not help but feel agitated.
His eyes landed on the snow-white skin of Hyuna and felt a bit annoyed at himself.
"He is a guy…" he thought as he seem to be struggling mentally.
"Alright, you two… let's leave Wu Jin in there for a while…" Elder Han said but there is a deep frown on his face as he felt that something is wrong with the pot.
After the group left, Hyuna opened her eyes and heave a deep sigh as she knew that her secret is once again safe.
She continues to relish the feeling that she is having right now as her strength and body become invigorated.
A few hours later, she slowly stands up and then carved the rune array on her forearm once again.
As her body returns back to being a man, she began to come out of the pot in which the medicinal effect has already been absorbed by her body.
A light glow could be seen on her skin as it turns more supple and soft.
She carefully wore her upper robe and walked out of the courtyard while the servants began cleaning the place up.
She saw Elder Han, Han Joonho, and Il Kwan seated in the living room while enjoying some snacks on the table.
When the three saw her walking toward them, they could not help but gawk at her figure.
"I think I overdid something here…" Elder Han could not help but said.
"Yeah… Junior brother… he… He now really looks like a young woman, right?" Han Joonho said with the side of his mouth twitching.
Il Kwan on the other hand could not avert his gaze from the beautiful face and that glowing white skin.
Just seeing that made his heart skips a beat.
"Damn this…" he cursed in his heart.
